Managing the macOS VDI plugin auto-update

The VDI plugin auto-update was added to the Mac VDI plugin in release 5.12.6 and uses the same policies for the virtual desktop available for the Windows VDI plugin auto-update.

VDI auto-update uses a virtual channel between the VDI Zoom Meeting client and the VDI plugin auto-update software. Ensure that your computer or device meets the virtual channel requirements/software requirements for the VDI auto-update feature.
How to enable and disable the Mac VDI plugin auto-update
Enable the Mac VDI plugin auto-update
A policy must be added to the virtual desktop to enable the VDI Plugin auto-update feature. The same policy applies to both Windows and Mac plugins.
Disable the Mac VDI plugin auto-update
VDI auto-update for the Mac client can be enabled or disabled for a specific device by modifying a configuration file. This configuration file is named ZoomVDIAus_Config and is located at the following path:
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ZoomVDIAus/ZoomVDIAus_Config
The following shows the default ZoomVDIAus_Config configuration entries:

The default value of EnableVDIPluginAutoUpgrade is 1.
VDI Plugin AutoUpgrade can be disabled on the Mac by changing the value of EnableVDIPluginAutoUpgrade to 0.
