Managing whiteboards from the Zoom Whiteboard dashboard

The Zoom Whiteboard dashboard displays all the whiteboards that you have created and shared with you. You can create, open, delete, and share whiteboards to other users from the dashboard page. Created whiteboards are saved automatically so you can access them anytime during or outside the meeting.

Prerequisites for managing whiteboards from the Zoom Whiteboard dashboard
- Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, or Linux: 5.13.5 or higher
- Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: 5.13.5 or higher
How to manage or open whiteboards from the Zoom Whiteboard dashboard
In-meeting
- Start a meeting from the Zoom desktop client.
- On the in-meeting controls, click the Whiteboards button
.
The Zoom Whiteboard dashboard will display. - In the left menu, choose from the following tabs:
- All Whiteboards: Displays all whiteboards visible to you.
- Recent: Displays all recent whiteboards you created or opened.
- My Whiteboards: Displays all whiteboards that you created.
- Shared with Me: Displays all whiteboards others have shared with you.
- Starred: Displays whiteboards that have been starred.
Note: At the top left, you can also search for the whiteboard name in the search bar.
- Click the Templates tab to see all the available templates to create your whiteboard.
- (Optional) Click the whiteboard name you would like to open.
Out-of-meeting
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- On the left menu, click Whiteboards.
- At the top of the page, choose from the following tabs:
- All Whiteboards: Displays all whiteboards visible to you. This page also displays whiteboard templates that can be used to create a new whiteboard or insert on existing whiteboards.
- Recent: Displays all recent whiteboards you created or opened.
- My Whiteboards: Displays all whiteboards that you created.
- Shared with Me: Displays all whiteboards others have shared with you.
- Starred: Displays whiteboards that have been starred.
- Trash: Displays all whiteboards that have been moved to the trash.
Note: You can also search for the whiteboard name in the search bar.
- To the right of the whiteboard you want to manage, click the ellipses icon
and then choose from the following options:
- Lock: Temporarily prevents editors, commenters, and viewers from opening and editing a document, while owners and co-owners retain full editing functionality.
- Rename: Changes the name of the whiteboard.
- Duplicate: Makes an exact copy of the whiteboard. The title can be changed before the copy is created.
- Open in new tab: Open whiteboard in a new page in the same browser.
- View Activity: Displays the summary of edits made by users.
- Move to Trash: Moves whiteboard to the Trash tab.
- Leave Board (available only to whiteboards you don't own): Leaves whiteboard that others have shared with you. Leaving the shared whiteboard will remove your access to open, comment or edit it.
Note: You can also click the check box beside the whiteboard preview to lock or unlock, star or unstar, or move to trash one or multiple whiteboards.
- (Optional) To the right of the whiteboard you want to share with other users, click the share icon

- (Optional) Click the whiteboard name you would like to open.
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- At the top, click the Whiteboards button
.
Note: If you don’t see the Whiteboards option, click Moreand then select Whiteboards from the list.

Note: You can also search for the whiteboard name or filter the list by Last Created, Last Modified, Alphabetical and Owned by Anyone/Owned by Me.
- To the right of the whiteboard you want to manage, click the ellipses icon
and then choose from the following options:
- Open in a Room: Open whiteboard in a Zoom Room.

- (Optional) To the right of the whiteboard you want to share with other users, click the share icon

- (Optional) Click the whiteboard name you would like to open.
- Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap More.
- In the Added Features section, tap Whiteboard
.
- At the top, choose from the following tabs:
- All: Displays all whiteboards visible to the users with access.
- Recent: Displays all recent whiteboards you created or opened.
- My Whiteboards: Displays all whiteboards that the user has created.
- Shared: Displays all whiteboards others have shared with the user.
- Starred: Displays all whiteboards that have been starred.
Note: You can search for the whiteboard name or filter the list by Last Created, Last Modified, Alphabetical and Owned by Anyone or Owned by Me.
- To the right of the whiteboard you want to manage, tap the ellipses icon
and then choose from the following options:
- Open in a Room: Open whiteboard in a Zoom Room.
- Share: Share whiteboard with other users.
- Lock: Temporarily prevents editors, commenters, and viewers from opening and editing a document, while owners and co-owners retain full editing functionality.
- Add to Starred: Marks a whiteboard with a star and add it to the Starred page. This is helpful for saving whiteboards you visit frequently or you want to revisit later.
- Rename: Changes the name of the whiteboard.
- Duplicate: Makes an exact copy of the whiteboard. The title can be changed before the copy is created.
- Open in Browser: Opens whiteboard in a browser.
- Move to Trash: Moves whiteboard to the Trash tab.
- Leave Board (available only to whiteboards you don't own): Leaves whiteboard that others have shared with you. Leaving the shared whiteboard will remove your access to open, comment or edit it.
- (Optional) Tap the whiteboard name you would like to open.
