New and enhanced features

  • Support for dual screens
SIP/H.323 devices connected via the Virtual Room Connector can now view the Active Speaker layout on one screen while viewing the Gallery view layout on a second screen. If there are only two other participants in the meeting, both participants will be displayed separately on each screen. This can be enabled by adding the parameter to your dial string

Changes to existing features

  • Support for 100 Breakout Rooms for SIP/H.323
Accounts that have the increased Breakout Room capacity enabled will be able to utilize this feature on SIP/H.323 devices.
  • Ability to leave Breakout Rooms
Participants joining a breakout session from SIP/H.323 devices can now leave a Breakout Room before the breakout session is ended by the host.

Adds a new option to the meeting controls menu for SIP/H.323 devices. By selecting “9” from a DTMF remote while in the main menu, the host and participants can see the meeting information including the meeting ID, meeting passcode, encryption status, and the Data Center the device is connecting to for the meeting.
  • UI change for Audio Mute and Video Mute icons
The design for the “Audio Muted” and “Video Muted” icons has been updated. The new icons appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

Date: December 1st, 2020
Version: 4.4.6670.20201130

New and enhanced features

  • Notification of encryption status
The encryption status of devices joining via the Virtual Room Connector will now be reflected in the upcoming Zoom client 5.4.6 release.
Note: If the Virtual Room Connector is not updated, SIP/H.323 devices connecting via VRC will not be reported as encrypted to meeting participants with the Zoom 5.4.6 client. After January 10th, 2021 devices connecting via the VRC will be unable to send audio and video to participants on Zoom client 5.4.6. Due to this, we recommend updating the VRC appliance as soon as possible to minimize the potential impact.
