Managing your password Follow


You can easily change your Zoom password at any time if you know your existing password. If you have forgotten your password, learn how to reset it.

Changing your password

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click to Profile.
  3. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  4. Scroll down to Sign In Password, Click Edit on the right.
  5. Enter your Old Password.
  6. Enter your New Password twice to confirm.
    Note: Make sure your password meets the requirements.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Note: If you do not have the option to change your password on your Profile page, you may only have logged in with Google or Facebook previously.

Adding password login to Google or Facebook login

If you have previously logged in with Google or Facebook only, on Profile, you will see icons indicating Google or Facebook, but no icon for email.

Unless restricted by your Account owner, you can easily add an email and password login for the same account.

  1. Sign out of your Zoom existing account. 
  2. Go to
  3. Enter in the email address that matches your Google, SSO or Facebook login.
  4. Click Sign Up.
  5. You will receive an email with Sign Up instructions. Click to Activate Account.
  6. Enter your desired password twice.
    Note: Make sure your password meets the requirements.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. You can enter in email addresses of contacts to invite or choose Skip this Step.
  9. Click Go to My Account.
  10. This will take you to My Profile of the existing Zoom account. It should now show the Google, Facebook or SSO icon that it showed previously, as well as an email icon to indicate that you can login with email address and password.

Password requirements 

For security purposes, Zoom has a few requirements that your password must meet. These apply when setting your initial password or when resetting your password. 

Note that these only apply when using your email address and Zoom password to login to Zoom. If you login with Google, Facebook, or Single Sign-On, your password must meet their requirements. 

  • Must be at least 8 characters
  • Cannot be longer than 32 characters
  • Have at least 1 letter (a, b, c...)
  • Have at least 1 number (1, 2, 3...)
  • Include both uppercase and lower case letters
  • Cannot contain only one character (i.e., "111111" or "aaaaaa")
  • Cannot contain consecutive characters (i.e., "123456" or "abcdef")

"This Zoom Account Does Not Exist" error message

If you receive a message that states "This Zoom account does not exist", you may have setup an account with Google or Facebook login. Try logging in with Google or Facebook and reset your password with them if necessary. 

You can also set up a secondarily login to your Zoom account with the same email address by adding a password login.
