Enabling Immersive view

Recreate the feel of your class or conference room by placing up to 25 video participants onto a single virtual background. Participants are automatically placed onto provided scenes and the host can adjust the arrangements as needed. The host can also use their own custom background for a unique scene. While this does not require use of the Virtual Background feature, it does work best when everyone has this functionality.

Prerequisites for enabling immersive view
- A Basic, Pro, Business, or Enterprise account
Enabling Immersive view
Note: By default, this setting is enabled for Free and single Pro accounts, and disabled for all other account types.
Account
To enable the Immersive View feature for all users in the account:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with permission to edit account settings.
- In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings.
- In the Meeting tab under the In Meeting (Advanced) section, click the Immersive View toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- (Optional) Select Turn off custom background checkbox. Selecting this would disable users' capability to add custom immersive views and backgrounds.
- (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
Group
To enable the Immersive View feature for all members of a specific group:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with permission to edit user groups.
- In the navigation panel, click User Management then Groups.
- Click the name of the group, then click the Meeting tab to access Settings.
- In the Meeting tab under the In Meeting (Advanced) section, click the Immersive View toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level. - (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
User
To enable the Immersive View feature for your own use:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click Settings.
- In the Meeting tab under the In Meeting (Advanced) section, click the Immersive View toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
