Zoom error code 1006028000
If you receive error code 1006028000 when you try to join a Zoom meeting or try to start the Zoom client, this means "release in processing." This can be caused by the following:
- The target disk/storage is full.
- The user’s antivirus software could have quarantined files downloaded by the Zoom installer.
- The firewall (specifically Palo Alto) may be blocking connection to certain IPs that Zoom uses, following policy updates.

Check the disk/storage space
If your device does not have sufficient space, you will need to free some disk space to resolve the issue.
- Check your device's disk/storage space.
- Free up drive space on your device.
- Once space is cleared, reinstall the Zoom desktop client.
Ensure that Zoom is on antivirus allowlist
- Make sure that Zoom is on the allowlist by your antivirus before joining meetings by using the following guides:
- Kaspersky: Allow camera and microphone access in Kaspersky.
- McAfee: Stop McAfee on Windows from blocking apps and devices.
- Norton/Symantec: Allow Internet access for a blocked program.
- Avast: Use the Blocked & Allowed apps settings screen in Avast Antivirus.
- Uninstall the Zoom client.
- Reboot the system.
- Download and reinstall the Zoom client.
Check firewall restrictions

Check internet connection
Ensure that your internet connection is stable and accurate for communication. If your network connection is not working correctly, restart the modem or switch to a wired connection. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, contact your internet service provider for further assistance.
Use mobile data
Switch to mobile data and rejoin the Zoom meeting.
Temporarily disable antivirus
In most cases, the antivirus installed on the device conflicts with some applications, causing some issues. You will need to temporarily disable the antivirus program and start your Zoom meetings again.
Uninstall and reinstall the Zoom application
If any of the above solutions do not help you, uninstall Zoom from your device. Once Zoom is completely removed and uninstalled from your device, download Zoom from our download center and reinstall Zoom on your device.
