Adjusting the size of chats and captions

You can adjust the font size for both in-meeting captioning, as well as Team Chat and in-meeting chat, through client Accessibility settings.

Prerequisites for adjusting chat and caption font size
- Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
How to change chat display size
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
- Click the Accessibility
tab.
- Below the Chat Display Size, click the drop-down menu and select a percentage.
Note: You can also adjust the Chat font size during a meeting using these keyboard shortcuts:- Windows/Linux: Ctrl + and Ctrl -
- macOS: Command + and Command -
The size of text displayed in the Team Chat tab, as well as in-meeting chat, will be adjusted based on the percentage selected.
How to adjust caption font size
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
- Click Accessibility
tab.
- Under the Closed Captioning section, click and drag the slider bar to adjust the size of captions displayed in a meeting or webinar.
The preview below the slider will show the approximate size of what the captions will appear as in a meeting or webinar.
Note: These options aren’t available in the Zoom mobile app, as your device’s font and accessibility settings control the size instead.
