Deploying the Recording Connector module

The Recording Connector, allows on-premise meetings to be recorded to a separate server instead of the host's device. Like the Meeting Connector, this server is deployed within your environment.

Note: The Recording Connector module should be deployed on a separate Node VM from the Meeting Connector module to avoid performance issues.

How to deploy a Recording Connector module

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click Meeting Connector.
  4. On the Services tab, then click Add Services.
  5. Click Recording Connector.
  6. Under Install on a node, select the server you want to deploy the service on.
  7. Under Zone, select the assigned Zone for the Controller.
  8. Click Advanced Settings to configure the Recording Connector:
    • Under Concurrent Recording Count, set the maximum of meetings that can be recorded at one time.
      Note: The maximum number of concurrent recordings should not exceed the recommended maximum based on the Node server's hardware.
    • Under Concurrent Transcoding Count, Set the maximum of recordings that can be transcoded at one time. 
  9. Click Add.

How to add external storage to a Recording Connector module

To add external storage to the Recording Connector module:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click Meeting Connector.
  4. On the Nodes tab.
  5. Click the Name of the Node server that the Recording Connector module was deployed to.
  6. Next to External Storage, click Add.
  7. Enter the NFS Server IP and NFS Path.
  8. Click Save.
