  • UI enhancements to SIP/H.323 page
    The SIP/H.323 Room Connector page has moved from the Advanced section to the Room Management section. The H.323/SIP room connector management permission has also moved under the Zoom Rooms Management section within the Role Management page.
    Note: This is being released as a part of the September 18 Web release.
  • Enhancements to CRC Dashboard
    Account owners and admins can view the connection status, provisioning status, SIP status, and meeting status of SIP/H.323 devices managed with the enhanced Zoom Connector for SIP/H.323 within the account.

  • Enhanced data privacy notices for archived meetings
    When joining a meeting that is being archived or archiving begins, participants via an audio notification.
  • NDI live streaming consent
    Participants are notified when live streaming through an NDI device begins.
  • Active Apps Notifier Enhancements
    When an app has real-time access to meeting/webinar content, such as video, audio, and/or chat, the Active Apps Notifier will appear in the same window as the current meeting in the top-left corner next to the encryption icon. Details of which apps have access and which participants approved the app are displayed.
  • Hide meeting ID while in-meeting
    Participants can hide the meeting-ID within the single-participant splash screen, by adding 601 to the dial string when joining a meeting. The meeting ID will still be available from within the Meeting info Panel (option 9 of the in-meeting menu).
  • Remove in-meeting overlay
    Participants can now remove the entire in-meeting overlay by adding 606 to the dial string when joining a meeting. If participants do not want to remove the entire overlay, participants can use dial string 603 to remove the names under video feeds from other participants, and/or 307 to remove the network indicator icons.
  • Support for Forward Error Correction (FEC) for audio
    Supports utilization of FEC for SIP audio connections.

    Account owners and admins can enable a setting that will automatically end SIP/H.323 meetings when the SIP/H.323 device with a host key leaves the meeting.
    Note: This feature must be enabled by support.

  • Support for mute/unmute self via DTMF menu
    Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 Room system can now mute/unmute their microphone audio from the in-meeting DTMF menu.
    Note: This is a “soft” mute, so if the device is not managed with the Enhanced Zoom Room Connector, the mute function will not sync with the device’s hardware-level mute/unmute status.

    Additional SIP header information has been added to the operation logs, for better customer end reporting.

  • Nonverbal feedback- Raise and lower hands
    Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 device can now raise or lower their hand as nonverbal feedback, using the in-meeting DTMF menu.
  • “Meeting has not started” dialog prompt
    A new prompt has been added, with the following messages "Meeting Has Not Started Yet" and "Start Meeting with Host Key", when a SIP/H.323 device joins a meeting before the host but Join Before Host has not been enabled for the meeting.
  • Ability to use Host Key to bypass Waiting Room
    Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 device can now use the Host Key to bypass the Waiting Room.

Changes to existing features

  • Disabling of TLS 1.1
    TLS 1.1 will be disabled on March 26, 2021, for the US West and all non-US data centers. This change will take effect for US East data centers on April 2, 2021. This change will impact all SIP/H.323 devices attempting to connect to a meeting that requires device encryption and all managed devices. This will be enforced for all device types: both managed with an API connector or unmanaged by Zoom.
  • Updated layout and design of the in-meeting DTMF menu
    The in-meeting SIP/H.323 menu has been updated with a new visual layout. The menu structure is the same.
  • Closed captions layout change
    As part of a UX improvement, closed captioning can be moved to the bottom of the in-meeting layout by using 506 within your dial string.
  • Waiting Room Notification UI Enhancement
    Meetings started with a host key will now have a new dialog box presented when participants enter the waiting room. There is also a new hourglass icon indicating how many participants are in the waiting room.

Resolved issues

  • Fixed an issue where devices joining via the CRC were joining with the video on, and audio unmuted, even if the meeting was scheduled with video and audio off for participants.
  • Fixed an issue where Cisco devices are dropped from a meeting after the call is put on hold, and then resume the call.

  • Support for dual screens
    SIP/H.323 devices connected via the Cloud Room Connector can now view the Active Speaker layout on one screen while viewing the Gallery view layout on a second screen. If there are only two other participants in the meeting, both participants will be displayed separately on each screen. This can be enabled from within the in-meeting controls.
  • Suppress on-screen menus option
    The on-screen menus can now be suppressed by using “504” in the dial string. Once in the meeting, the menus can be toggled on or off by pressing “7”. This is useful for customers who have created macros using a Cisco Touch 10.

  • Support for Mute All and Unmute All
    The Mute All/Unmute all functionality has been added to the Host menu, within the SIP/H.323 in-meeting controls.
  • Support for forcing single-stream video/screen share
    Support has been added for forcing video and screen share content as a single stream instead of a dual-stream when h.239 or BFCP is enabled. Single stream video can be forced by adding “505” into the dialing string when joining a meeting.
  • UI change for Audio Mute and Video Mute icons
    The design for the “Audio Muted” and “Video Muted” icons has been updated. The new icons appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

    Resolves an issue where some Cisco device setups experience video layout changes when joining Breakout Rooms.

    Custom languages are now supported, in addition to the default languages provided. Custom languages must be configured on the web portal by the host.
  • Support for 100 Breakout Rooms for SIP/H.323
    Accounts that have the increased Breakout Room capacity enabled will be able to utilize this feature on SIP/H.323 devices.
  • Menu option for Meeting info
    Adds a new option to the meeting controls menu for SIP/H.323 devices. By selecting “9” from a DTMF remote while in the main menu, the host and participants can see the meeting information including the meeting ID, meeting passcode, encryption status, and the Data Center the device is connecting to for the meeting.
  • Ability to leave Breakout Rooms
    Participants joining a breakout session from SIP/H.323 devices can now leave a Breakout Room before the breakout session is ended by the host.
  • Enhanced support for OPUS audio codec
    The Cloud Room Connector now supports up to 128k bitrate for SIP/H.323 devices utilizing the OPUS audio codec.

    If an H.323/SIP device joins the meeting with Mute participants upon entry, a warning message that the device is muted will be displayed, with an option to unmute the device.
  • Require consent of the host mutes and then unmutes a participant
    If the host mutes and then unmutes a participant individually, the participant will now receive a prompt, asking them to consent to be unmuted.

    Zoom is upgrading to the AES 256-bit GCM encryption standard, which offers increased protection of your meeting data in transit and resistance against tampering. This provides confidentiality and integrity assurances on your Zoom Meeting, Zoom Video Webinar, and Zoom Phone data. This feature will be automatically enabled for all accounts on May 30. For H.323/SIP devices, GCM encryption will be used between the Cloud Room Connector and the Meeting connector, to ensure codec compatibility.
