Unmute or Promote Attendee Follow

Overview

During a webinar, you can promote an attendee to be a panelist so they can turn on their audio, video or screen share. You can also unmute an attendee without promoting them to a panelist.

Prerequisites 

  • Webinar License
  • Both host and attendee must be on Zoom Client for Mac or PC, version 4.1.8826.0925 or higher, to unmute attendee

How to Promote an Attendee

  2. Click on Attendees.

  3. Hover over the name of the attendee you want to promote and click on More
  4. Choose Promote to Panelist.

Change Panelist to Attendee

  1. Select Participants.Screen_Shot_2017-09-22_at_3.31.59_PM.png
  2. Click on Panelists.
  3. Hover over the name of the panelist you want to make an attendee and click on More
  4. Choose Change Role to Attendee.

Unmute Attendee

  1. Select Participants.Screen_Shot_2017-09-22_at_3.31.59_PM.png
  2. Click on Attendees.
  3. Click on Allow to talk.Screen_Shot_2017-09-22_at_4.13.44_PM.png
  4. The attendee will now be able to unmute themselves and speak in the webinar.
