Recording on iOS and Android Follow

You can record your meeting or webinar to the Zoom cloud from your mobile device with the Zoom mobile app. Cloud recording allows you to view, share, and download your recordings from your Zoom account. Learn how to start a cloud recording.

Notes:

  • It is not possible to record locally from an iOS or Android device.
  • You must be the meeting host to start a cloud recording on an iOS or Android device.

Prerequisites for recording on iOS and Android

  • Licensed user
  • Host or co-host permission for the meeting or webinar

Instructions

Record from your iOS device

  1. While hosting a Zoom meeting from your iOS device, tap More more-button.png.
  2. Tap Record to the Cloud.
    The app will now show Recording at the top of your screen.
  3. To stop or pause the recording, tap More more-button.png.
  4. Tap the Pause button pause-recording-button.png or Stop button stop-recording-button.png.

After you have ended the meeting, the recording will process and appear under Recordings on the Zoom web portal.

Record from your Android device

  1. While hosting a Zoom meeting from your Android device, tap More.
  2. Tap Record.
    The app will now show Recording at the top of your screen.
  3. To stop or pause the recording, tap More again.
  4. Tap the Pause button pause-recording-button.png or Stop button stop-recording-button.png.

After you have ended the meeting, the recording will process and appear under Recordings on the Zoom web portal.
