Getting started using the Zoom Dashboard

The Zoom Dashboard allows administrators on the account to view information ranging from overall usage to live in-meeting data. This data can be used to analyze issues that may have occurred as well as better understand how users are holding meetings in your company. 

Dashboard data updates at 12:00 GMT daily. Data is stored in the Dashboard for 12 months.

Getting started with the Zoom Dashboard

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal. 
  2. In the navigation menu, click Dashboard.

Privacy information

You cannot view the following information for participants external to your organization:

    • MAC address
    • Camera (example: “Integrated Camera”)
    • Device (example: “Windows”)
    • Domain
    • Hard Disk ID
    • Microphone (example: “External Microphone”)
    • Speaker (example: “External Headphones”)
    • Local IP address
    • Version
    • Data center role

How to understand the Dashboard tab

The Dashboard tab allows you to view broad statistics on the overall usage of Zoom. Data on the dashboard page can be filtered by date at the top left.

The Dashboard tab provides graphs for quick statistics on users, meetings, and Zoom Rooms. Many of the graphs have arrows to adjust which data is being shown and you can export the information by clicking the download arrow icon in the top-right corner of the chart.

How to understand the Meetings tab

The Meetings section allows you to see the total live meetings as well as past meetings being held. Past meetings can be exported to a CSV file. This overview will show if audio, video, screen sharing, and recording were being used in the meeting as well. You can also see the license types of each user on your account.

Selecting any meeting ID will give more information on the meeting being held. This information ranges from where users were connecting and network quality information. For meetings in progress, the Join as an assistant button allows an admin to join the meeting as a co-host if the host is currently logged in and in the meeting. For past meetings, you can hover over the information icon to see how a participant left the meeting. 

Selecting any participant's name can provide more in-depth detail about their connection. Showing the current send/receive rates for various portions of the call.

You will also be able to see real-time graphs that indicate connection quality for sending/receiving video, audio, and shared content. If nothing is being sent or received at that time, no information will show. The following will be captured in the dashboard:

  • Bitrate - the number of bits per second that can be transmitted along with a digital network.
  • Latency - the amount of time it takes for a packet to travel from one point to another. In Zoom's case, the time it takes an audio, video, or screen share packet to travel from the Zoom client to the Zoom cloud. 
  • Jitter - the variation in the delay of received packets.
  • Avg. Loss - the average amount of packet loss, which is the percentage of packets that fail to arrive at their destination.
  • Max Loss - the max amount of packet loss, that is the max percentage of packets that fail to arrive at their destination.

How to understand the Zoom Rooms tab

The Zoom Rooms portion of the dashboard lets you know the type of configuration a room has, its passcode, and more importantly its current availability for others to use for their meetings. If you have Zoom Rooms Health Status Notifications enabled, you can quickly identify any issues under the health column. Click on the room name to see more details.

How to understand the CRC tab

The CRC portion of the Zoom Dashboard allows you to see the total number of CRC ports being used on the account. The max shows maximum concurrent ports being used in that hour, while the total shows total H.323/SIP connections in that hour.

How to understand the Webinar tab

The Webinars section is similar to meetings. You can see live webinars in progress as well as past webinars. All the same information from participants in meetings will show to panelists in the webinar. For attendees, you can see a list of basic information, such as their name, device, IP address, location, network type, device, the time they joined/left, and the leave reason.

How to understand the Zoom Chat tab

The Zoom Chat tab shows the information on how users are utilizing Zoom Chat. You can see how many messages they've sent and received and the types of messages. You can adjust the date range at the top and search by user or email address.

How to understand the Downloads tab

The Downloads tab shows any CSV files that you are exporting from Dashboard. It displays the report name, the date range of the report, the time the report was generated, and the status of the report. If the report is ready, the report status will list Download.

How to understand the Zoom Phone tab

The Zoom Phone tab displays the overall quality of Zoom Phone calls, based on MOS (Mean Opinion Score). You can also click Extensions to search for a particular user's statistics, based on extension number. Learn more about the Zoom Phone Dashboard.
