Overview
Account admins or owners can remotely upgrade their Zoom Rooms software to the latest version, or downgrade them to the previous Zoom Rooms version from the Zoom web portal. When upgrading or downgrading remotely, the Zoom Room will wait up to 30 minutes before proceeding with the upgrade, to confirm that no meetings are in progress or about to start.
If you need to do a faster upgrade to the latest version of Zoom, you can download and install the latest version of Zoom Rooms from the Download Center.
Zoom Room controller software can be upgraded manually or by using Zoom device management from the web portal. The controller software cannot be downgraded.
Note: Please ensure your Zoom Rooms and Controllers are running versions 5.0.5 or above by August 16, 2020. This minimum version is required for the room to function, since enhanced encryption between rooms and controllers will be enabled on this date.
