Zoom Rooms weekly system restart Follow

Overview 

Zoom Rooms weekly system restart functionality will restart your computer weekly with the following conditions:

  • Between the hours of 1:00-6:00am based on local time of the computer
  • When there is no meeting currently in progress in that room

By default, the Zoom Rooms computer will restart on Saturday, but you can also select a day for the restart.

For restart on selected day: 

  • Zoom Rooms for Conference Room
    • PC: 4.6.0 (1193.1215) or higher
    • macOS: 4.6.0 (1696.1216) or higher
  • Auto login is enabled
  • Account owner, admin or Zoom Rooms admin permissions to enable

Instructions

Enable for all rooms on your account

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Room Management > Zoom Rooms
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. Click the Meeting tab.
  5. Navigate to the Weekly system restart option and verify that the setting is enabled. 
    If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, choose Turn On to verify the change.
  6. From the drop down menu, select which day you would like the computer(s) to restart on. 
  7. Click Save.

Enable for a set of rooms

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin or account owner.
  2. Click Room ManagementZoom Rooms.
  3. Click the level in the hierarchy that you want to enable for weekly system restart. For example, to enable all rooms in a specific building, click the name of the building.
  4. Click Edit.

  5. Click the Meeting tab.

  6. Navigate to the Weekly system restart option and verify that the setting is enabled. 
    If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, choose Turn On to verify the change.
  7. From the drop down menu, select which day you would like the computer(s) to restart on. 
  8. Click Save.
