Share a Whiteboard Follow

Overview

The whiteboard feature will allow you to share a whiteboard that you and other participants (if allowed) can annotate on.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom desktop client for Windows version 3.5.19597.0626 or higher
  • Zoom desktop client for Mac version 3.5.24604.0824 or higher
  • Zoom desktop client for Linux version 2.0.123086.0330 or higher
  • Zoom mobile app for iPad version 2.5.34521.1207 or higher
  • Zoom mobile app for Android version 3.6.17038.1226 or higher

Instructions 

How to Share a Whiteboard

  1. Click the Share Screen button in the meeting controls. 
  2. Click Whiteboard.
  3. Click Share Screen.
  4. The annotation tools will appear automatically, but you can press the Whiteboard option in the meeting controls to show and hide them.
    Annotation tools:
    • Mouse
    • Select
    • Text
    • Draw
    • Spotlight/Arrow: Turn your cursor into a spotlight or arrow. 
    • Eraser
    • Format: change the formatting options of the annotation tools.
    • Undo
    • Redo
    • Clear
    • Savethis allows you to save all annotations on the screen as a screenshot. The screenshot is saved to the local recording location. By default, this is your documents folder, then in a folder called Zoom. 

  1. When you are done, click Stop Share

Multiple Whiteboards in a Meeting

If you have simultaneous screen sharing on, multiple participants will be able to share a whiteboard at once. However, to see two whiteboards at once, or your own whiteboard and another participant's, you will need to have dual monitors enabled. 

How to Share a Whiteboard

  1. Click the Share Screen button in the meeting controls. 

  2. Click Whiteboard.
  3. Click Share Screen.
  4. The annotation tools will appear automatically, but you can press the Whiteboard option in the meeting controls to show and hide them.

  1. Tap Share in the meeting controls.
  2. Tap Share Whiteboard.
  3. Tap the pen icon to open the annotation tools.
  4. Use the annotation tools to draw on your whiteboard.
  5. To save the annotation
    • Press on the screen using the select or eraser tool until the Save to Photos Album option appears. 
    • Tap Save to Photos Album.
  6. When you are done, tap the pen icon to close the annotation tools and tap Stop Share.

 

Note: Whiteboard is currently available for iPad only. If you are on an iPhone, you will not see the Whiteboard option.

How to Share a Whiteboard

  1. Tap Share Content in the meeting controls.
  2. Tap Whiteboard.
  3. The annotation tools should appear automatically, but you can tap the pen tool to show and hide them.
  4. To save the annotation
    • Press on the screen using the select or eraser tool until the Save to Photos Album option appears. 
    • Tap Save to Photos Album.
  5. When you are done, tap Stop Share.
