When Group Messaging (IM/Presence) is enabled on your Zoom account, chat messages are automatically archived and stored on Zoom’s cloud leverage AWS DynamoDB. Archived messages are stored indefinitely.
By default, only the account owner has access to Group Messaging archives through the Chat History tab within IM Management. Account owners can allow other Admins on the account access to the Chat History by adding their email address in the People allowed to view archived chat messages option under Administrator Options on the Account Management page. Archived messages can be downloaded or deleted by the account owner. Downloaded archived messages are in .csv format and contain the following fields:
- Session ID
- Sender email
- Receiver email or chat room name
- Message content
