Prerequisites to using Zoom Phone Certified Hardware
- Desk phones must support TLSv1.2 to work with Zoom Phone.
- You must have the latest firmware version listed below for your device to work properly. Click the firmware version in the tables below to download it. Starting October 2021, the Firmware supported column states the release date of the firmware.
- To see firewall rules for zero touch provisioning, refer to the firewall rules for Zoom Phone.
Encryption
Zoom Phone SIP signaling communications from devices/client to server and during phone provisioning sessions occur over TLS v1.2 with AES-256 bit encryption. Zoom Phone call media is transported and protected by SRTP with AES-128 or AES-256 bit encryption for devices.
Important: By default, AES-128 bit encryption is enabled for devices. Admins must upgrade devices to AES-256 bit encryption using the web portal. Learn more about Zoom Phone encryption.

Notes:
- Refer to the Check the hardware version number section to make sure your device is supported.
- The P within the model name stands for PoE (Power over Ethernet) which does not require a power adaptor.
- Contact Grandstream directly if your device model is not listed in this table and failed the assisted provisioning process.
- See the Grandstream GRP260x Configuration Guide for more information
- * Please check the official Grandstream certificate verify website before provisioning, and check quick guidance on how to use the website.
Check the hardware version number of your Grandstream desk phone
- On the back of your device, identify the barcode on the label of the device.
- In the P/N number, identity the last 6 digits number.
The first 3 digits of that number will be the hardware version number. For example if the P/N is 962-00113-15A001, then the 15A will be the hardware version and stands for V1.5.
Poly
Notes:
- Provisioned Poly devices will automatically upgrade to the latest supported firmware version. Set up firmware update rules if you don't want Poly devices to automatically upgrade.
- Zoom only works with Polycom devices that are running at least version 4.0.0 of the UCS firmware. In previous versions (Polycom SIP software 3.x or earlier), upgrading from the phone's web interface, registration, and provisioning will not work with Zoom. This restriction does not apply to OBi Analog Telephone Adapters (ATA).
- Polycom VVX OBi edition phones are not supported. The only exception is the VVX D230, which has OBi firmware but is still supported by Zoom Phone.
- VVX 250/350/450 come with two firmware versions depending on the hardware revision (Old or New). Please review the Poly Product Shipping Configuration Change Notice for more detailed information about new hardware revisions.

Notes (A):
- These are Poly end-of-sale models. Zoom will be removing support for these models in the near future.
- Currently, Poly end-of-sale models with a date of manufacture that is older than the date noted are unable to support Zoom's security requirements and cannot be used with Zoom Phone. The manufacturing date is usually identified by a sticker on the bottom of the phone.
Note (B): These models do not support SIP video.
Notes (D):
- One expansion module can be attached to a Poly Edge E400 or E450.
- Up to two expansion modules can be attached to a Poly E500 or E550.
Yealink
Notes:
- Provisioned Yealink devices will automatically upgrade to the latest supported firmware version. Set up firmware update rules if you don't want Yealink devices to automatically upgrade.
- After the June 14, 2020 firmware upgrade, the following end-of-life (EOL) models are only allowed to use ZTP once: T29G, T41P, T42G, T46G, T48G, W56P.
- If you need to re-provision an EOL model, you will be prompted to enter the last 5 digits of the device's serial number to start the provisioning process. You can also use assisted provisioning.

Notes:
- Check the firmware and device certificate versions before proceeding to device provisioning.
- Check the ATA has the latest supported firmware version below, by following the upgrade process.
- Due to the enhanced security requirement, the Zoom Phone provision server requires the HT8xx to support Generation 2 (Gen 2) certificate using ECDSA + SHA 384. Verify your ATA unit has the updated Gen 2 device factory certificate installed.
- HT812/814/818 have 2 ethernet ports (WAN and LAN). For device provisioning under Zoom Phone web portal page, be sure to specify the MAC address value by using the LAN MAC address value (not the WAN MAC address) from the unit.
- When entering the provision/config server URL path under ADVANCE SETTINGS>Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning>Config Server Path, make sure to specify the URL WITHOUT the https:// on the front.
Upgrade an ATA Grandstream firmware
- Log in to the ATA web page.
- Under the STATUS page, select Software Version, then Prog.
- Download the firmware below if you have an older version.
- Select the ADVANCE SETTINGS page, Upload Firmware, then Upload from local directory.
- Follow the remaining steps to complete the upgrade process.
Verify an ATA Grandstream unit has the updated Gen 2 device factory certificate installed
- Log in to the ATA web page.
- Under the STATUS page, select Individual Certificate Generation.
- Verify the certificate name is GEN 2 (SHA-384 + ECDSA).
- If it isn't the correct name, proceed to the Grandstream guide.
- If it's the correct name, proceed to the Zoom Phone device provisioning.
Find an ATA Grandstream LAN MAC address value
- Log in to the ATA web page.
- Select the STATUS page.
- On the top of the page, find the LAN MAC (Device MAC) address value.
