How to Enable Auto Sign-in Follow


Devices that are enrolled in Zoom's Mobile Device Management service (ZDM), or a third party MDM, can be assigned to a specific Zoom Room from the web interface. After being assigned, the Zoom Rooms app will be installed and signed into automatically.

Enabling Auto Sign-in with ZDM

  1. Sign In to and navigate to the Zoom Rooms page.
  2. Click Edit next to the Zoom Room you want to assign a device to.
  3. Click Assign on the next page and, make your selections and click Save.
  4. If you cannot locate your device in the drop down menu, click Assign unlisted device, then manually enter the serial number of the device you want to assign.

Enabling Auto Sign-in with a third party MDM

    1. Generate activation code for the room you want to assign.
    2. For Zoom Room controllers or scheduling displays, please refer to the MDM configuration for controllers.
    3. For Zoom Rooms themselves, push the configuration to the Zoom Rooms app including the key-pair with the key "ActivationCode", and the activation code generated as the value.


"Cannot be assigned" 

If your Windows device is not running Windows 10 Version 1703 or later, you will see "Cannot be assigned" in your Zoom web portal. "Cannot be assigned" in this case means you can not enable auto sign-in for this device.
