Transferring Calls Follow

Overview

If you have Zoom Phone activated on your account, you can transfer an ongoing phone call. There are three call transfer options:

  • Warm Transfer: Places your call on hold while you complete the transfer for the other party.
  • Blind Transfer: Transfers the call to the number and immediately hangs up your call.
  • Transfer to Voicemail: Transfers the call to the voicemail of a specified phone number.

Note:

  • When transferring a call to an external party (they are not in your internal contacts directory), the party receiving the transfer will see your caller ID name and number. They will not see the caller ID of the party that is being transferred.
  • When transferring a call to an internal contact, the call notification for the internal contact will display your Zoom profile name and the caller ID of the party being transferred.
  • If your admin enabled automatic recording, or you start a call recording, the recording will end when you select a transfer option. This applies when transferring to external or internal contacts. If you select Warm Transfer, you can start the recording again to record the portion before you complete the transfer.
