Transferring Calls Follow

Overview

If you have Zoom Phone activated on your account, you can transfer an ongoing phone call. There are three call transfer options:

  • Warm Transfer: Places your call on hold while you complete the transfer for the other party.
  • Blind Transfer: Transfers the call to the number and immediately hangs up your call
  • Transfer to Voicemail: Transfers the call to the voicemail of a specified phone number.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom mobile app for iOS or Android
  • Zoom Phone license

  2. Follow the instructions to make or receive a call.
  3. During a call, you can click Transfer.
  4. Dial a number to transfer to. You can also enter a name to search contacts in your organization.
  5. Click the blue transfer button and select a transfer option:

Warm Transfer: Places your call on hold while you complete the transfer. This option is useful if you need to navigate an automated answering machine for the caller or if you want to speak to the receiving party before your call is transferred.

Blind Transfer: Transfers the call to the number and immediately hangs up your call. If there are any phone menu prompts, the other party will have to complete them.
