The following table provides the list of features available on certified desk phones. This article does not apply to certified gateways and analog telephone adapters.

Prerequisites for using support desk phone features

  • Provisioned desk phone assigned to a phone user

Note: If you have provisioned desk phone set up as a common area phone, some desk phone features will be limited.

Legend:

  • Model series name (for example, VVX): All models in the series support the feature, unless the table states (partial) after the series name.

Notes for features with partial support

Admin password

The firmware requirements of AudioCodes 445HD, 450HD, C450HD to support admin password:

  • 445HD, 450HD, C450HD: 3.4.6.565 or later versions

The Admin Password setting located in the account-level desk phone settings doesn't apply to these models:

  • AudioCodes: MP112, MP114, MP118, MP124
  • Algo SIP-based devices
  • CyberData SIP-based devices

Aim call park (park using line key)

Aim call park (park using line key) is supported on these models:

  • AudioCodes: 445HD, 450HD, C450HD
  • Yealink: CP925, CP960, CP965, T27G, T31P, T31G, T33G, T43U, T46U, T42S, T46S, T48S, T53W, T54W, T56A, T57W, T58W, T58A, VP59

Assisted provisioning

Algo: Assisted provisioning is available for Algo paging devices. As of the time of this release, certain device such as model 8180 do not pass the assisted provisioning, therefore the model 8180 device may need to be manually provisioned as Other/Generic device while we are working on resolving the issue.

CyberData: Assisted provisioning is available for CyberData paging devices. However some older product lines are missing the necessary SSL device certificate support required for assisted provisioning (also known as auto-URL provisioning), therefore the older product lines may still need to be manually provisioned as Other/Generic devices. Please reach out to CyberData support for details. You can identify if a CyberData device supports assisted provisioning

Do not disturb (DND) status

The DND status only applies to the phone you set it on. This status does not sync on other desk phones assigned to you or the Zoom desktop client or mobile app.

The DND status functions differently depending on the manufacturer:

  • Poly: Sound notifications are blocked, but you will still see a visual notification on the phone's screen.
  • Yealink: All on-screen and sound notifications are blocked.

Call control from Zoom desktop client

Call control from Zoom desktop client is supported on these models:

  • Poly: VVX 101/150/201/250/301/311/350/401/411/450/501/601, Edge E100/220/300/320/350/400/450/500/550
  • Yealink: T27G, T31P, T31G, T33G, T42S, T46S, T48S, T43U, T46U, T53, T53W, T54W, T57W, T58A, VP59

Call delegation and shared line groups

The following phone models support call delegation and shared line groups. Models not on this list might support some features like making and receiving calls using a shared line, but won’t show the status of shared lines.

  • AudioCodes: 450HD, C450HD, 445HD
  • Poly: CCX 400/500/600/700, VVX 150/250/350/450
  • Yealink: All certified models except CP920, W56P, W60P, W80, W90

Call flip

Call flip is supported on these models:

  • AudioCodes: 445HD, 450HD, C450HD
  • Poly: All certified models except Edge B series, OBi302, OBi508, SoundPoint 335, SoundPoint 550, SoundPoint 650, SoundStation 5000, SoundStation 6000, Trio 8500, Trio 8800
  • Yealink: All certified models except CP920, CP960, W56P, W60P, W80, W90

All other certified Poly and Yealink models support call flip.

Call park

Call park is supported on these models:

Company directory search

Company directory search is supported on these models:

Notes:

  • The Zoom Phone admin must re-sync desk phones for the contacts directory to appear. Alternatively, phone users can re-sync their desk phone by manually rebooting it.
  • Refer to the quick start guides for Poly or Yealink if you need help using the company directory.
  • If company directory search isn't working, make sure to open outbound port 390.

Custom firmware rules

A custom firmware that includes the vendor, model, and firmware version that can be applied in the firmware management of those devices.

Custom firmware required

Yealink phone models require a custom firmware that is built specifically for Zoom Phone, while certified IP phones from other manufacturers use the firmware that comes from those vendors and isn't specific to Zoom Phone.

Emergency services location reporting

Emergency services location reporting is supported on these models:

  • AudioCodes: 405HD, 420HD, 445HD. C450HD
  • Poly: VVX101, VVX150, VVX201, VVX250, VVX301, VVX311, VVX350, VVX401, VVX411, VVX450, VVX501, VVX601, Edge B series
    Note: The Edge B series IP phones is an LLDP-MED endpoint that expects an LLDP-MED extension TLV. Admin must make sure the LAN switch supports and is configured with LLDP-MED TLV extension. For more details follow the Poly article.
  • Yealink
    • SIP: T27G, T31G, T31P, T33G, T42S, T43U, T46U, T48U, T46S, T48S, T53W, T54W, T57W
    • DECT: W60B, W70B, W80B, W90B
    • Android: T58V, T58W, CP960, CP965, VP59

  • Poly: The following models with firmware version 6.4.1 or higher.

multi-SIP extension registry.

  • Yealink: W56P, W60P, W70B, W80, W90

Privacy mode

Note: Screen lock is only supported on desk phones assigned to one phone user. Screen lock is not supported on common area phones and phones with multiple phone users.

  • Cisco: All certified models
  • Poly: Edge B10/B20/B30, CCX 400/500/600/700, VVX 150/250/350/450
    Note: For Edge B series models, speed dial only supports characters 0-9,*,#,a,b,c,d. “Pause” is not supported.
  • Yealink: All certified models except CP920, W56P, W60P, W80, W90
