Zoom Room Device Profiles Follow

Overview

Zoom Room Device Profiles, allows you to create and save profiles to a room, with specific device settings and screen layouts. These profiles can then be applied from the web interface, or from within the settings of the controller. They can also be changed on the fly while in a meeting as well.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom Rooms for Mac version 4.5.0 (1168.0906) or higher
  • Zoom Rooms App for iPad version 4.5.0 (147.0829) or higher
  • Zoom Rooms App for Android 4.5.0 (40516.0903) version or higher

Creating a Room Profile

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Room Management > Zoom Rooms.
  3. Click the Edit to the right of the Zoom Room name.
  4. Under Devices, scroll to Room Profile, then click Create a Room Profile.
  5. Enter the name of the Room Profile and click Create
  6. Under the Device tab, select the default Microphone, Speaker, and Camera for the Zoom.
  7. Under the Display tab, select the screen layouts.
  8. Click Save

Editing/Deleting a Room Profile

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Room Management > Zoom Rooms
  3. Click the Edit to the right of the Zoom Room name. 
  4. Click the More button to the right of the room name.
  5. Click the Room Profile you want to edit/delete.
  6. You can now edit the room profile, or you can also remove the room profile by using the Delete option as well.

Changing Room Profiles from the Room Controller

  1. In the Zoom Room Controller, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Device Profile (if settings are locked, unlock them first).
  3. Choose the default profile under Source.
  4. (optional) re-lock settings.

Changing Room Profiles In-Meeting

The Device Profile can also be changed during a meeting as well, however, it will reset back to the default after the meeting has ended.

  1. Tap Settings....
  2. Tap Device Profile.
  3. Select the Desired Profile.
  4. Tap Done.
