Joining a meeting in a Zoom Room from the Zoom client

You can use the Zoom desktop client to join a scheduled meeting that has already been started in a Zoom Room with the client's audio and video disabled. You can screen share, chat, and manage participants from the desktop client, and use the Zoom Room for video and audio communication.
Prerequisites for joining a Zoom Room meeting using the desktop client
- Zoom desktop client for Windows or macOS: Global minimum version or higher
- Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher
How to join a meeting using the desktop client in a Zoom Room
- Sign in to Zoom desktop client.
- Click the Meetings
tab.
- Find and select the meeting.
- Click Join from a room.
The desktop client will search for local Zoom Rooms. If none are detected, enter the Sharing key displayed on the Zoom Room display.
Note: If you start your video from the desktop client, companion mode will end.
How to join a meeting using the mobile app in a Zoom Room
- Sign in to Zoom mobile app.
- Tap the Meetings
tab.
- Find and select the meeting.
- Tap Join from Room.
The mobile app will search for local Zoom Rooms. If none are detected, enter the Sharing key displayed on the Zoom Room display.
