Features and limitations of chat announcements
The following chat features work with chat announcements:
- Post images, GIFs, files, and code snippets as announcements
- Edit or delete announcements (only available to the user that posted the announcement)
- Mark announcements with a star
- Mark announcements as unread
- Adjust notification settings for announcements
- Copy and share announcements with another user or channel
The following chat features don't work with chat announcements:

Note: As an alternative to announcements, you can create a channel with restricted posting permissions.
