Meeting reactions Follow

Overview

Meeting participants can now react during a meeting by an emoji to communicate without interrupting the meeting. Reactions will disappear after 5 seconds. 

By default, the meeting reactions have a yellow skin tone. On the Zoom Desktop Client for Windows and Mac, you can also set your skin tone. 

If you need additional feedback during a meeting, you can also use non-verbal feedback

Note: If a host or participant is below version 5.2.0, they will only be able to send/receive the clapping hands and thumbs up reactions:

Prerequisites

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.1.2 or higher
    • macOS: 5.1.2 or higher
  • Zoom mobile app
    • Android: 5.1.28652.0706 or higher
    • iOS: 5.1.228642.0705 or higher
  • Meeting scheduled with video on or at least one participant starts their video

Instructions

Sharing a meeting reaction

  1. In your meeting controls, click Reactions
  2. Click the type of reaction you would like to send:
    • Clapping Hands
    • Thumbs up
    • Heart
    • Tears of Joy
    • Open Mouth
    • Party Popper (Tada, Celebration)
  3. The reaction will display for 5 seconds.

Setting the skin tone for your reactions

  1. In the Zoom client, click your profile picture then click Settings
  2. In the General tab, select your reaction skin tone. 


  1. In your meeting controls, tap ... More.
  2. Tap the type of reaction you would like to send:
    • Clapping Hands
    • Thumbs up
    • Heart
    • Tears of Joy
    • Open Mouth
    • Party Popper (Tada, Celebration)

      Note: To send reactions from the mobile app, at least once meeting participant needs to have video turned on during the meeting.
  3. The reaction will display for 5 seconds.
