    Users can bring their own Logitech appliance and use the display, camera, speakerphone as BYOD peripherals.

  • Support for Multi-Camera Mode on Poly X50 and X70 devices
    Users can enable Multi-Camera Mode (up to three  cameras, supporting up to 720p resolution) on Poly X50 and X70 appliances. Poly X50 and X70 appliances must be running firmware version 4.0.0 or greater to use this feature.

  • Webinar Session Branding
    Hosts can customize the appearance of the in-webinar experience by adding a wallpaper behind the video tiles, setting a common virtual background for all panelists, and providing name tags for each panelist. This requires version 5.14.0 or higher to use and/or view, but does not require this version to join the webinar.
  • Enhancement to local content sharing
    If local HDMI content sharing is enabled, users that connect an HDMI cable to the Zoom Room during a meeting will be prompted to choose their content sharing preference: View Locally or Share to Meeting.
  • Improvement to pairing process
    Desktop or mobile users will not be prompted for a passcode when pairing to a shared Zoom Room that has started a meeting. 
  • Display Chromium version in Settings
    The Chromium browser version is displayed in the settings menu on Zoom Rooms controllers and Zoom Rooms for Touch. 
  • Native room control enhancements 
    Additional controls have been added to native room controls list. 
  • Added About section in settings for Zoom Rooms for Touch

  • In-meeting alarm
    Organizations can configure Zoom Rooms to set off alarms to notify staff they need to check on an issue. These alarms will not affect ongoing meetings.

    Deactivated users will no longer be shown in contacts.
  • Audio Framing for DTEN devices with Zoom Rooms controllers 
    When using a Zoom Rooms controller with a DTEN me or DTEN on device, the microphone array setting page will display a toggle for Audio Framing.
  • Support for Amazon Omni TV (European version) 
  • Bluetooth audio output on Neat Frame devices 
    If a user selects a Bluetooth device’s microphone as the audio input, the device’s speaker will be automatically selected as the audio output, and vice versa. 
  • Support for additional features on DTEN D7X 55” devices 
    The following features are now supported: HDMI capture content share, Multi-focus mode, Multi-Camera mode, Multi-stream, bring your own device (BYOD) mode.

  • Digital signage setup enhancement 
    Users can enter a pairing code to log in to a digital signage room, instead of using a Zoom Rooms controller or mouse. 
• In-meeting features
  
  • Directional audio
    Zoom Rooms with stereo loudspeakers can emit participant voices based on their placement in the meeting window. For example, when a participant that is displayed on the left side of a gallery view speaks, that participant’s voice is emitted from the left room speaker. This is currently supported on single display Zoom Rooms when using Gallery or Immersive view. Supported appliance devices are Poly X50, Poly X70, DTEN Me, DTEN On, and DTEN D7x. 
  • In-meeting chat enhancements
    Meeting participants can view emoji reactions and reply in threads to in-meeting chat messages.
  • Toggle full room view 
    Users can toggle the full room video feed that appears next to Smart gallery video feeds.
  • Hybrid meeting information
    Participants can click the security shield icon to see the following text in a  regular hybrid meeting: “You are connected to the Zoom Global Network via a data center controlled by your Zoom account owner”. Participants who click the shield icon in an internal hybrid meeting will see this text instead: “You are connected to a data center controlled by the host's account owner”. In either scenario, participants can click Learn More to learn about hybrid meetings.
  • Recording disclaimer update
    Zoom Rooms participants will receive a recording disclaimer if a Zoom Phone audio only participant starts recording. 
  • Update to Show/Hide Non-Video Participants
    The Show/Hide Non-Video Participants option can be toggled from the View menu on the touch screen display or room controller.
  • Update Scale to Fit behavior 
    On android devices with a touchscreen, "Scale to Fit" will now default to on for Portrait mode devices in Active Speaker view. The Scale to Fit setting can also be toggled in-meeting and the default behavior can be configured out-of-meeting. 
  • Smart Gallery enhancement for Neat devices 
    Neat bar Pro and Neat Frame devices can have up to three video streams at 720p when using Multi-stream mode. 
• Management features
  • Recurring meeting display time 
    Recurring meetings will now show start/end times on the Zoom Rooms display and controller. The meeting list can also be sorted by start time, and any recurring meetings without a set start time will be listed last.
  • Room capacity 
    Administrators can set a room capacity number that will be shown on the Zoom Rooms display and/or scheduling display. This will assist users who want to reserve a room for a specific number of people.
• Scheduling display features
  • Deleting reservations requires authentication 
    When a user wants to cancel a reservation on a scheduling display, the user must be authenticated. A QR code will appear for authenticating the user. Only the user who made the reservation, or an assigned delegate of that user, can delete the reservation from the scheduling display. Previously, any user could delete reservations for a Zoom Room or reservation-only rooms on a scheduling display.
• Controller features
  • Government icon display update
    Zoom Rooms that join a meeting hosted by a government account will see the government icon displayed on the room controller. 
  • Improved participant sync time
    Participant information will be displayed more quickly on controllers after joining the meeting. 
• Zoom for Home features
  • Display synced cloud contacts
    Personal Zoom Rooms users will see their synced cloud contacts from Google/Office 365/Exchange displayed on their contact lists.
• Zoom Whiteboard
  • Sharing a companion whiteboard
    Companion whiteboard users will see a message displayed at the top of the whiteboard screen indicating whether or not the whiteboard content is being shared in a meeting. If the whiteboard content is not being shared, there will be an option to start content sharing. 
  • End meeting save whiteboard prompt 
    If a whiteboard has been created in a Zoom Room hosting a meeting, the meeting host will be prompted to save the whiteboard before ending the meeting if the whiteboard has not been previously saved.

  • Flexible active speaker view 
    When this view is enabled, active speaker view will be displayed when a remote participant speaks. Once the participant stops speaking for 15 seconds, the meeting will revert to gallery view or the background screen until another participant starts talking.

  • Use Display Name for Zoom Room in-meeting 
    Administrators can set the display name for a shared Zoom Room to be used when the room joins meetings, causing the Display Name to be shown to other meeting participants when the Zoom Room is in a waiting room, in the meeting participant list, and as the label on its video.
  • Enhanced Zoom Room lockout notification and manual unlock ability 
    Administrators can enable a “room locked” alert email after five incorrect meeting password attempts. Once the room is locked, users will see a message telling them how long they have to wait until the room is unlocked and an email alert will be sent to the designated recipients. The recipients can manually override a locked room if the meeting is hosted by the same organization that the room belongs to. To override, the recipients click “unlock room” in the email alert they receive.

  • Native room control enhancements
    Administrators can tie up to twenty native room control commands to a single button. Additionally, users can have more control over their room system without a third party control system.
  • Join ad hoc Microsoft Teams meetings
    Users who want to join a Microsoft Teams meeting not on the calendar can enter the Microsoft Teams meeting ID and passcode.
  • Join ad hoc Webex meetings via SIP 
    Users who want to join a Webex meeting via SIP only need to enter the Webex meeting ID.
  • Passcode for BlueJeans meetings 
    The Zoom Rooms app will parse BlueJeans meeting invites so that passcodes do not need to be entered manually if they are included in the meeting join url. 
  • Shared meeting content on Companion Whiteboards 
    Shared meeting content will be automatically displayed on companion whiteboards once sharing begins. Shared content can also be annotated from the companion whiteboard.
  • Support for custom join webinar disclaimer 
    Join webinar disclaimers configured from the web portal will appear in Zoom Rooms. 
  • Multi-language calendar parsing for Webex meeting invitations 
    All languages that are supported by Zoom are included. 
  • Product icon updates 
    App and home screens icons have been updated to reflect the new Zoom logo. 
  • Support for Zoom Contact Center integration for Zoom Rooms Virtual Receptionist on additional devices with third party touch displays

  • Support for multiple cameras on Logitech RoomMate 
• In-meeting features
  • Camera behavior enhancements for Interop meetings 
    The default camera control mode configured in the Zoom web portal will be used after joining a Microsoft Teams meeting. In addition, users will also be able to select camera control modes (manual, auto-framing, speaker focus) and accompanying camera control functions (pan-tilt-zoom, preset controls mode) depending on their devices. Windows and Mac devices can use manual mode and preset camera controls. Appliances can use all the functions listed above that are supported by the device. These options are only available when one camera is connected.   
  • Added More menu to the Whiteboard on Zoom Rooms for Touch user interface 
    The Whiteboard More menu can be used to toggle Collaboration Cursors on or off. 
  • Additional option for toggling show/hide self view 
    Users can toggle this view, which adds or removes their video feed from their personal meeting window, from the Change Views section of the user interface. 
  • Organize gallery view 
    Users can sort the way attendees are displayed in gallery and thumbnail view. The options are sorted by name in alphabetical order, or reverse alphabetical order. Hosts and co-hosts can also load a saved gallery view configuration tied to the meeting ID. 
  • Audio enhancements 
    Updates echo cancellation, and advanced noise suppression, which can be set to auto or manual.
  • Chat panel enhancement 
    The chat panel will not be partially blocked by active speaker notifications. 
  • Bring your own device (BYOD) enhancement for Yealink 
    Users can easily toggle a USB cable connected BYOD device on the Zoom Rooms controller or touch screen display. 
  • Updated recording privacy disclaimer
    The recording disclaimer has been updated to provide clearer information regarding how their data is being handled and who can access it.
• Management features
  
  • Third-party meeting join buttons on the home screen
    Administrators can enable join buttons for third party meeting providers (Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex) that will be displayed on the Zoom Rooms home screen.
  • Upgrade Zoom Room from device 
    Administrators can upgrade a Zoom Room from the device itself (Zoom Rooms for Touch) or Zoom Room Controller rather than using the web portal. This function can be toggled from the web portal.  
  • Kiosk controls 
    Supported devices will now display the following icons in kiosk mode: Mute/Unmute, Video on/Off, View Participants. Administrators can toggle these icons on the Zoom web portal. 
  • Passcode protection for camera controls 
    Administrators can enable or disable a passcode requirement for users that want to control a room's camera in-meeting.
  • Editing source media ports 
    Administrators can set the maximum number of source media ports available. A minimum of fifty is required. 
  • Bring your own device (BYOD) mode enhancement
    Administrators can disable the default prompt that appears when connecting a BYOD device to a Zoom Room. Instead, users will need to use the BYOD icon on the Zoom Rooms controller to switch to BYOD content
• Scheduling display features
  • Display QR code when reserving rooms on scheduling display
    Administrators can enable authentication (required or optional) for reserving rooms on a scheduling display. When activated, users can scan a QR code or enter their email to reserve a room. 
• Zoom for Home features
  
  • Video preview 
    If a user has turned off their video, the video preview before a meeting will display the user’s profile picture instead of just the user’s name.

  • Automatic attempted recovery from temporary web proxy authentication failure
    When this feature is enabled in the web portal, the Zoom Room will periodically attempt to reconnect through a web proxy when it receives a Proxy Authentication Required response. The Zoom Room will display a notification while it is attempting to recover.
• Zoom for Home features
  • Saving whiteboards to the cloud 
    Personal Zoom Room users can save their whiteboards to the cloud if this feature is enabled. If saving whiteboards to the cloud is disabled, the Zoom Room will display a notification.

    Users can invite common area phone to a meeting from the contact list.
  • One-time password requirement for suspicious logins
    When Zoom Rooms administrators sign in to a Zoom Room using their work email and password, they may be asked to enter a one-time password, sent to their account email, when Zoom detects a suspicious login. A login may be considered suspicious if it originates from a different country or device, among other factors.  After entering the one-time password, the sign in will succeed.
  • Standalone Whiteboard Zoom Rooms for Touch 
    Standalone Whiteboard Zoom Rooms provide users with a dedicated whiteboard device that can create and edit existing whiteboards. 
  • HDMI as a Digital Signage source 
    Admins can now configure a Zoom Room or Digital Signage Only Room to switch to an HDMI input when Digital Signage is playing. This allows admins to display HDMI content in place of a playlist or other content uploaded to Zoom. 
  • Multi-language calendar parsing for Microsoft Teams meetings and Google Meet 
  • Scheduling meetings on Google calendar
    Calendar events will only appear on the resource calendar and not the service calendar when a user schedules a meeting and has full access to the calendar resource.
  • Support for Yealink Meetingboard 65 
    Users will be able to share information on a whiteboard and collaborate with others via Zoom Rooms
  • Support for Yealink Roomcast Digital Signage 
  • Audio Framing function on DTEN devices 
    Audio Framing will suppress audio when the user is not present in a preset camera area (60 degrees angle scope). This is supported on DTEN ME, DTEN ME PRO, and DTEN ON devices.
  • Support for 3rd generation Amazon Fire TV Cube

  • Thumbnail View Enhancements 
    The Thumbnail view can be used in Zoom Rooms with multiple screens, and the view can be configured to display the film strip above or below the active speaker (this does not apply to Zoom Rooms for Touch). 
  • Zoom Translated Captions 
    Zoom Rooms in meetings where the host has a Zoom Translated License will be able to pick between multiple closed captioning channels such as CART, Live Transcription, and Live Transcription translations.
  • Support up to 25 custom languages for interpretations 
    The number of custom language interpretations allowed for a scheduled meeting has been upgraded to 25. 
  • Support for meeting polls 
    Polls can be launched during a meeting, allowing participants to provide responses. 
  • Meeting assistant updates 
    Meetings assistants are displayed as participants in meetings they join. Assistants can change the name displayed in the participants menu when joining.
  • Reactions for Zoom Rooms 
    Zoom Room users can send and receive reactions in meetings and webinars. 
  • Closed captioning notification 
    If saving transcripts is disabled, participants will not receive the following notification in a meeting: “A participant has enabled Closed Captioning [Who can see this transcript]?”
  • High Fidelity Audio mode 
    Zoom Rooms has added a High Fidelity Audio option in the client to allow for professional audio transmission in music education and performance applications. Professional audio interface, microphone, and headphones are recommended. 
  • Share screen and audio to all Breakout Rooms 
    When sharing screen in the main session, the host or co-host can share their screen to all active Breakout Rooms. Computer audio and video audio from a screen share can also be shared. 
  • Support for Smart Gallery in E2EE meetings  
  • Smart Gallery on Logitech Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini 
    Smart Gallery view on a Logitech Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini can support up to five video streams.
  • Enhanced in-meeting user abuse reporting 
    Simplified process for meeting attendees to report abuse to Zoom.

  • Portrait view 
    Users with portrait appliances, such as Neat Frame, can use portrait view (instead of landscape view) for active speakers in 1 to 1 meetings. 
• Management features
  • Microsoft Teams Meetings join preference 
    When administrators enable Support 3rd party conferencing dial-in for Zoom Rooms and the Support Microsoft Teams web client meeting on Zoom Rooms option on the web portal, they can optionally elect to use Microsoft Teams Cloud Video Interop (CVI) information, if present, to join the meeting via SIP. If no Microsoft Teams Cloud Video Interop (CVI) information is present, Direct Guest Join will be used to join the meeting.  
  • List Reservation Only Rooms on the Zoom Rooms page
    Reservation Only Rooms will show up in both Workspace and Zoom Rooms hierarchy. Reservation Only Rooms can easily be toggled to Scheduling Display Only Rooms.
  • Idle Time-out power saving mode 
    Administrators can use Idle Time-out mode to automatically turn off Zoom Room displays and dim controllers after a period of inactivity. This setting is mutually exclusive with scheduling periods for devices to enter power saving mode. 
  • Passcode failure alerts 
    Zoom administrators are notified via webhook, Dashboard, and email when someone in a Zoom Room has failed to enter the correct passcode three times within a 24 hour period. Alerts are automatically cleared at the beginning of the next day. 
  • Cloud recording limit 
    If a participant tries to record a meeting after the cloud recording storage limit is reached, the Zoom Room will display a message explaining why the meeting can't be recorded. 
  • Report Issue to IT 
    Administrators can allow Zoom Room users to report an issue to their IT department.
• Zoom for Home features
  • Transfer meetings to Personal Zoom Rooms
    Users attending an ongoing meeting with their mobile or desktop client can transfer the meeting to their Personal Zoom Room. The ongoing meeting will appear on the touch screen or controller meeting list, along with the Switch button. 
  • User presence status options
    Personal Zoom Room users can set their status to “busy”, in addition to “available”, “away”, and “do not disturb”. If contacts set their status to “busy” that status will be displayed when viewing the contact list. 
  • Zoom Phone call history 
    Call history saves a record of received, outgoing, and missed calls. Users can view the caller name, number, and call duration with timestamps.
  • User interface enhancements for Personal Zoom Room TV devices 
    Improved user interface navigation with Zoom for TV app.

  • Calendar integration parsing enhancement
    Enhanced parsing for bluejeans invitations, bluejeans sip addresses, and google meet invitations in outlook/exchange.
  • Camera switching enhancement
    Switching cameras in a room with only two cameras will carry out the switch without prompting the user to select the camera first.
  • Zoom Room API functions
    Organizations can use API commands to answer or decline meeting invites, and mute or unmute microphone input.
• In-meeting features
  
  • Disable Broadcast Message from host to breakout rooms
    Admins on the account can now disable the ability for meeting hosts to broadcast messages to all breakout room participants.
  • Multi-pin and multi-spotlight
    With host permission, users will now be able to pin up to 9 participants on their end. The host can also spotlight up to 9 participants for everyone in the meeting.
  • Watermark enhancements
    Meeting hosts can edit the visual watermark, and turn it on or off during a meeting. Watermarks will display the entire email address over a participant’s shared screen and video tile, as well as displayed over their video in most video layouts (Speaker, Gallery, Side-by-side). The watermark is also visibly more apparent as a tiled pattern across the video or shared screen.
  • Toggle participant entry tones
    If the Zoom Room is the meeting host, participant entry tones can be toggled on or off from the room controller.
  • Show non-video user

    Up to three notifications will be displayed at the bottom right corner of the display. Notifications either disappear within a certain time frame, or must be manually dismissed. This is determined by level of importance, with more important notifications requiring a manual dismissal.

    Previously, when a Zoom Room was not linked to a calendar, a prominent error on the Zoom Rooms Controller home page appeared: "This room needs to be connected to a calendar. Contact your Zoom Rooms admin". This error message has been updated to suggest that connection to a calendar is not mandatory. Organizations that do not wish to connect their Zoom Rooms to a calendar can have their admins hide the upcoming meetings list on Zoom Rooms Controllers, which removes the message completely.

  • End-to-end (E2E) encryption  for meetings
    End-to-end (E2E) encryption for meetings is now available in technical preview. Account owners and admins can enable end-to-end (E2E) encryption for meetings, providing additional protection when needed. Enabling end-to-end (E2E) encryption for meetings requires all meeting participants to join from the Zoom desktop client, mobile app, or Zoom Rooms. Users will not be able to join by telephone, SIP/H.323 devices, on-premise configurations, or Lync/Skype clients, as these endpoints cannot be encrypted end to end. Zoom web client and third-party clients leveraging the Zoom SDK are also not supported at launch. Enabling this setting also disables the following features: join before host, cloud recording, streaming, live transcription, Breakout Rooms, polling, and meeting reactions. This setting is enabled in the Zoom web portal at the account, group, and user level and can be locked at the account or group level.

• AES 256-bit GCM encryption
  Zoom is upgrading to the AES 256-bit GCM encryption standard, which offers increased protection of your meeting data in transit and resistance against tampering. This version of Virtual Room Connector will support GCM encryption when it is automatically enabled for all accounts on May 30. For H.323/SIP devices, GCM encryption will be used between the Cloud Room Connector and the Meeting connector, to ensure codec compatibility.
