New updates for Web

New and enhanced features

  • Administrator features
    • Enable AES-256 bit encryption for Zoom Phone devices
Account owners and admins can upgrade to SRTP with AES-256 bit encryption for specific sites and models. By default, AES-128 bit is enabled. Admins must enable AES-256 bit in the web portal. Learn more about Zoom Phone Encryption.
    • Call monitoring (listen, whisper, barge, takeover)
Account owners and admins can enable call monitoring features for phone users. Phone users can: listen to a call without the parties being aware; speak to a phone user in a call without other parties being aware; join a call and speak to all parties; or take over the call from another user.
    • Call park
Users can place a call on hold and generate a retrieval code. Any other Zoom Phone user can use the retrieval code to answer the call. Admins can set routing rules if parked calls are not answered after a specified amount of time
    • Create a shared directory of external contacts
Account owners and admins can create a shared directory of external contacts. They can add contacts one at a time or batch import contacts using a CSV file. This is not supported on desk phones.
    • Singapore data center option
Account owners and admins can opt in to use a Singapore region data center for real-time meeting and webinar traffic.
  • User features
    • Customize speed dial and busy lamp field for devices
Users can add line keys for speed dial and busy lamp field (BLF). Speed dial allows users to easily dial a number by pressing a line key. BLF allows users to see the call status of another internal line.
    • Call park
Users can place a call on hold and generate a retrieval code. Any other Zoom Phone user can use the retrieval code to answer the call. Admins can set routing rules if parked calls are not answered after a specified amount of time.
