Provisioning Zoom for Home devices Follow

Overview

Zoom for Home devices can be provisioned for users from the Zoom web portal by administrators. This creates a streamlined setup process for home users, since administrators can configure basic device settings for them.

Prerequisites

  • Role with access to Room Management 
  • Zoom for Home compatible device(s)

Licensing

No special license is required to use Zoom for Home. You can provision Zoom for Home devices for any user in your organization without using any of your Zoom Rooms licenses. 

Provisioning a device

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal
  2. Click Room Management then click Zoom Rooms.
  3. Click Add Room
  4. Name the room. Click the Room Type dropdown and click Personal Zoom Room.

  5. Select a user to assign the room to and click Finish.

Configuring device settings

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal
  2. Click Room Management then click Zoom Rooms.
  3. Click the Rooms category and click Edit.

Home user setup experience

Once a user completes the setup instructions, a prompt will appear on the device’s screen that allows them to tap the provisioned device and select it.
