Getting started as an OnZoom Attendee Follow

Overview

Note: OnZoom is only available to the US market as of launch; OnZoom will be available globally at a later date.

OnZoom is an immersive platform where consumers can search for—and enjoy—new interactive and engaging virtual experiences from creators of all sizes, from large-media organizations to creative individual hosts.

Note: Zoom Rooms is not supported at this time.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.3.0 (52651.0920) or higher
    • macOS: 5.3.0 (52651.0920) or higher
  • Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account

Registering for a free OnZoom event

  1. Go to onzoom.com.
  2. Click on the free event you want to register for.
  3. Click the Register button.
    Note: If you selected a free event-series, click Entire Series. If you selected a drop-in event, click Drop-In.
  4. Depending on the event type you selected—single event, series, or drop-in—when the registration window opens:
    • If you selected a single event: click the + button to add the number of tickets you want; click the - button to remove the tickets you don't want.
    • If you selected a series event: click the + button to add the number of series tickets you want; click the - button to remove the series tickets you don't want.
    • If you selected a drop-in event: click the + button next to the session you want to register for to add the number of tickets you want; click the - button to remove the tickets you don't want.
      Note: If there are multiple sessions, add tickets to the sessions you want to register for.
  5. Click the Checkout button.
  6. You will be taken to the checkout window. Before placing your order:
    • If you bought one ticket, enter the email address that you want the ticket to be sent to.
    • If you bought multiple tickets, enter the email address that you want each ticket to be sent to.
      Note: Multiple tickets cannot be sent to the same email address.
    • If you want to remove a ticket, click Delete Ticket.
  7. Click the Place Order button to complete your purchase.

Once the order confirmation page appears, you can sync the event to your calendar.

Note: Your avatar during a free event will be the initials of your OnZoom account name; avatars for free events cannot be changed.

Registering for a paid OnZoom event

  1. Go to onzoom.com.
  2. Click on the paid event you want to register for.
  3. Click the Register button.
    Note: If you selected an event-series, click Entire Series. If you selected a drop-in event, click Drop-In.
  4. Depending on the event type you selected—non-series, series, or drop-in—when the registration window opens:
    • If you selected a single event: click the + button to add the number of tickets you want; click the - button to remove the tickets you don't want.
    • If you selected a series event: click the + button to add the number of series tickets you want; click the - button to remove the series tickets you don't want.
    • If you selected a drop-in event: click the + button next to the session you want to register for to add the number of tickets you want; click the - button to remove the tickets you don't want.
      Note: If there are multiple sessions, add tickets to the session you want to register for.
  5. Click the Checkout button.
  6. Select your payment method, click Place Order, and enter your payment credentials.
    Note: Multiple tickets cannot be sent to the same email address.

Once the order confirmation page appears, you can sync the event to your calendar.

Joining an event

Note: Every ticket creates a unique URL that is linked to your account; other users will not be able to join the event using your link.

After you have completed registration for a free or paid event, you will receive an email to confirm your registration.

To join an event from email:

  1. Open the OnZoom event confirmation email.
  2. Click View Ticket; you will be redirected to the event's details page.
  3. Click Join.

To join an event from your OnZoom account:

  1. Sign in to your OnZoom account.
  2. In the top-right corner, click on Tickets.
  3. Click on the event you want to join.
  4. Click Join.

To join an event from a calendar entry:

  1. Open your calendar.
  2. Find the OnZoom event entry you want to join.
  3. Open the scheduled entry.
  4. Click on the Join OnZoom Event link.
    Note: The URL in the calendar entry is unique to your OnZoom account; the link will not work for other users.

Favoriting an event

To save an event to your Favorites list:

  • Click the icon in the event card, or
  • Click the ♡Favorite button located in the event's details page.

To see the list of events you have favorited, click on Favorites in the top-right corner of the page.

Sharing an event

To share an event via email:

  1. Click on the icon in the event card, or click on the ⇨Share button located in the event's details.
  2. Click the ✉︎ icon.
  3. Compose your email and then send to share.

To share an event via social media:

  1. Click on the icon in the event card, or click on the ⇨Share button located in the event's details.
  2. Click on the social media's icon (Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, or LinkedIn) to share.

Rating an event

To leave a rating for an event:

    1. Go to onzoom.com.
    2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Tickets.
    3. In the drop-down menu underneath Tickets, select Past Events.
    4. Click Rate Event next to the past event you attended to leave a rating.
    5. Click on the number of stars to reflect your experience of the event.
      Note: If you give a 5-star rating, a bonus star will appear that you can give as a 6th star if the Host did an exceptional job.
    6. (Optional) Write comments or a review of the event to provide more details.
    7. Click Save.

Gifting an event ticket

You can purchase a ticket to an event and gift the ticket—or transfer the ticket—to someone else.

After registering for the free or paid event you want to gift:

  1. Click the View Ticket(s) button in the order confirmation page. You can also click on Tickets in the top-right corner from anywhere on on.zoom.us.
  2. Click Gift.
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to gift the ticket ownership to.
  4. (Optional) Enter a message about why you're gifting them this ticket.
  5. Click the Gift to Friend button.

If you want to transfer the ownership of a previously gifted ticket to someone else:

  1. Go to onzoom.com.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Tickets.
  3. Click Orders.
  4. Hover your mouse over the ... icon next to the event you previously gifted, then click View Details.
  5. Click the Transfer Ticket button.
  6. Enter the email address of the person you want to transfer ownership of the ticket to.
  7. (Optional) Enter a message about why you're gifting them this ticket.
  8. Click the Gift to Friend button.

 

Cancelling your registration

You can cancel your registration anytime within the Host's cancellation policy.

Contacting the Host

To contact the Host via email:

  1. Go to onzoom.com.
  2. In the top-right corner, click Tickets.
  3. In the list of events you have registered for, click View Tickets.
  4. On the left-hand side of the page, click the Contact Host button.
  5. Compose your email and then send to the Host.
