New and enhanced features

  • Zoom Phone integration with GSuite add-on
    The Zoom Phone integration allows GSuite add-on users to make outbound calls from Gmail or Google Calendar, view recent call history, and view combined Zoom and Google contacts.
    Note: This enhancement prompts all GSuite Add-on users to reauthorize access, even if those users do not have a Zoom Phone license.

Changes to existing features

  • Password now labeled as Passcode
    Zoom meeting information will now accurately label the meeting passcode as passcode, instead of password. This brings the GSuite Add-on in line with Zoom’s distinction between meeting passcode and login password.

  • Improved grouping of security options when scheduling

    The “Only authenticated users can join” option is now located in the Security section of the scheduling window, grouping it with Passcode and Waiting Room options to allow for easier selection and use of security features.

    The Only authenticated users can join meetings setting in the web portal is synced to the add-on. Previously, the setting was enabled by default regardless of the web portal setting.

  • Request permission to unmute participants
    can now enable a setting to request permission to unmute, allowing the host to request permission to unmute meeting participants and webinar panelists. Permissions, once given, will apply in all meetings scheduled by the same person. This setting is available at the account, group or user level and can be locked at the account or group level. This requires client 5.2.0 or higher.
