Recording OnZoom events for Hosts and including recording access with ticket Follow

Overview

You can elect to include access to your OnZoom event's cloud recording with OnZoom ticket registration, which will give registrants the opportunity to watch the event they registered for at their convenience, even if they didn't attend the event. This is an added benefit you can include with a ticket registration.

Enabling the feature to include access to event recordings with ticket registration will:

  • Start the recording of the event automatically once the event starts. This ensures that the event is recorded even if you or an Alternative Host forgets to start the recording.
    Note: For events that don't include access to event recordings with ticket registration, you will have to manually start the recording of an event.
  • Give all registrants—those who missed the event and those who attended the event— access to view the recording for 7 days after the recording is made available
  • Help to reduce the number of refund requests you receive

Note: Recordings cannot be downloaded, edited, deleted, or shared from the Zoom web client.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.3.0 (52651.0920) or higher
    • macOS: 5.3.0 (52651.0920) or higher
  • Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account

Including access to event recording with ticket registration

Registrants will be able to view the recording for the event they registered for only if you included viewing access with their ticket registration when you created the event.

To include access to the recording, enable the Include access to event's cloud recording with ticket registration toggle switch when you create an event or edit an event draft.

Note: The recording will start automatically once the event begins.

Managing recordings

To see a list all of your recordings:

  1. Sign in to OnZoom.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click on Manage.
  3. On the left-hand side of the page, click on Recording.

To filter the list of recordings by accessibility type:

  1. Sign in to OnZoom.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click on Manage.
  3. On the left-hand side of the page, click on Recording.
  4. In the middle of the page, click on the icon next to Recording Access.
  5. Check the box to the left of Event Registrants or Only Me.
  6. Click on the Ok button.

Watching a recording

To watch a recording:

  1. Sign in to OnZoom.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click on Manage.
  3. On the left-hand side of the page, click on Recording.
  4. To the right of the event you want to watch, click on the ... icon, then click Play.

Editing a recording

Note: You can only edit the title and/or description of a recording.

To edit a recording:

  1. Sign in to OnZoom.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click on Manage.
  3. On the left-hand side of the page, click on Recording.
  4. To the right of the event you want to edit, click on the ... icon, then click Edit.
  5. (Optional) In the Title section, enter the new title of the recording.
  6. (Optional) In the Description section, enter the new description for the recording.
  7. Click on the Save button.
