New updates for the Virtual Room Connector

New and enhanced features

  • Support for dual screens
SIP/H.323 devices connected via the Virtual Room Connector can now view the Active Speaker layout on one screen while viewing the Gallery view layout on a second screen. If there are only two other participants in the meeting, both participants will be displayed separately on each screen. This can be enabled by adding the parameter to your dial string

Changes to existing features

  • Support for 100 Breakout Rooms for SIP/H.323
Accounts that have the increased Breakout Room capacity enabled will be able to utilize this feature on SIP/H.323 devices.

  • Menu option for Meeting info

By selecting “9” from a DTMF remote while in the main menu, the host and participants can see the meeting information including the meeting ID, meeting passcode, encryption status, and the Data Center the device is connecting to for the meeting.
  • UI change for Audio Mute and Video Mute icons
The design for the “Audio Muted” and “Video Muted” icons has been updated. The new icons appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

New updates for OnZoom

New and enhanced features

  • Include event recording as a part of ticket access
Hosts can now enable the option to include a complimentary event recording as a part of an OnZoom event ticket. This allows Attendees to view a recording of an event, in case they have missed the live event, or wanted to review an event they previously attended.
  • Add Alternative Host that is not on the same account
When creating an event in OnZoom, Hosts can now add Alternative Hosts that are not on the same Zoom account as they are.
Note: This only applies to OnZoom events. For normal Zoom Meetings and Webinars, the Alternative Host must still be on the same Zoom account.

Changes to existing features

  • "Become a Host" approval status available on the application page
When applying for OnZoom Host status, after submitting an application, potential Hosts can stay on the same web page, to see if they have been approved to become an OnZoom Host. An approval status email will also be sent as well.
  • Event cover images required when creating an event
When creating an OnZoom event, a cover image is now required before continuing the event creation process.
  • Brand name change of OnZoom’s donation partner
OnZoom’s donation partner Pledging has rebranded themselves under the name Pledge. While the name will be updated within the OnZoom interface, all other current donation settings and processes will not be affected.
  • Panelists can join the event as soon as it has started
Panelists can now join an OnZoom event immediately after the Host has joined, allowing for longer practice time before allowing Attendees into the event.
  • Invitee list for private tickets can be edited after publishing
When enabling Restrict Tickets to the Following User, Hosts can now edit the invitee list even if the event has already been published.
