Release notes for the Cloud Room Connector

New and enhanced features

  • Nonverbal feedback- Raise and lower hands
Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 device can now raise or lower their hand as nonverbal feedback, using the in-meeting DTMF menu.
  • “Meeting has not started” dialog prompt
A new prompt has been added, with the following messages "Meeting Has Not Started Yet" and "Start Meeting with Host Key", when a SIP/H.323 device joins a meeting before the host but Join Before Host has not been enabled for the meeting.
  • Ability to use Host Key to bypass Waiting Room
Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 device can now use the Host Key to bypass the Waiting Room.

Changes to existing features

  • Disabling of TLS 1.1
TLS 1.1 will be disabled on March 26, 2021, for the US West and all non-US data centers. This change will take effect for US East data centers on April 2, 2021. This change will impact all SIP/H.323 devices attempting to connect to a meeting that requires device encryption and all managed devices. This will be enforced for all device types: both managed with an API connector or unmanaged by Zoom.
  • Updated layout and design of the in-meeting DTMF menu
The in-meeting SIP/H.323 menu has been updated with a new visual layout. The menu structure is the same.
  • Closed captions layout change
As part of a UX improvement, closed captioning can be moved to the bottom of the in-meeting layout by using 504 within your dial string.
  • Waiting Room Notification UI Enhancement
Meetings started with a host key will now have a new dialog box presented when participants enter the waiting room. There is also a new hourglass icon indicating how many participants are in the waiting room.

Resolved issues

  • Fixed an issue where devices joining via the CRC were joining with the video on, and audio unmuted, even if the meeting was scheduled with video and audio off for participants.
  • Fixed an issue where Cisco devices are dropped from a meeting after the call is put on hold, and then resume the call.
  • Fixed an issue where if the host changes the participant name of a SIP/H.323, the device reverts back to its original name when joining a breakout room.
  • Fixed an issue where participants appeared to be in-meeting with video off on the display of a SIP/H.323 device, when still in the Waiting Room waiting to be admitted.
  • Fixed an issue where participants dialing into meetings from Webex teams are unable to receive screen share content.
  • Minor bug fixes

Release notes for OnZoom

New and enhanced features

  • New Hosts are prompted to create a test event the first time they create an event
After OnZoom Host account creation, new Hosts will be asked if they would like to create a test event the first time they start to create an event. Test events are published events, but do not show up in the public directory and search results. Test events provide new Hosts the opportunity to create an event, go through the ticket-registration and ticket-gifting processes, and host that event—without a public audience—to familiarize themselves with all of the functionalities available to them when creating and hosting an event.
  • Ability to add Alternative Hosts from an outside Zoom account
Hosts can add Alternative Hosts who are not under the same Zoom account that the Host is under.
  • OnZoom and Web Portal provide a more similar experience
Hosts can now disable the Q&A and HD-video features when creating an event.
  • Send one-time message for an individual occurrence in an event series
OnZoom Hosts can now send a one-time message to ticket registrants of any individual occurrence within an event series.
  • Video cover-images for events in the Featured section play automatically when hovered over
If a Host uploads a video for a cover image for an event in the Featured section, the video will automatically play when a user hovers over the cover image
  • Free events can be scheduled to start beyond 28 days of the publishing date
Hosts can create free events that are scheduled to start more than 28 days into the future from the date the free event is published.
