Enabling cloud recording Follow

Overview

Enabling the cloud recording setting allows hosts to record their event in the Zoom cloud. By default this setting is automatically enabled for all paid subscribers.

If you want to manage what hosts are allowed to do with their cloud recordings follow these instructions.

How to enable cloud recording setting

Account

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an owner or admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Select the Recording tab and verify that the Cloud Recording setting is enabled. If disable, click the toggle to enable it. In the Enable "Cloud recording" pop-up window, click Enable.
  4. Check the desired recording views to be recorded and any Advanced cloud recording settings.
  5. (Optional) If you want to make Cloud recording setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon on the far right , then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

Note: If you signed up for a new Zoom account after August 21, 2021; or the New Admin Experience is enabled on your account, the Group Management page has been renamed to Groups.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation panel, click User Management then Group Management.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Select the Recording tab and verify that the Cloud recording setting is enabled. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. In the Enable "Cloud recording" pop-up window click Enable.
  5. Select the desired recording views to be recorded and any Advanced cloud recording settings.
  6. (Optional) If you want to make Cloud recording setting mandatory for all users of this group, click the lock icon on the far right , then click Lock to confirm the setting.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and will need to be changed.

User

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Settings.
  3. Select the Recording tab and verify that the Cloud Recording setting is enabled. If the setting is disabled, click the Status toggle to enable it. In the Enable "Cloud recording" pop-up window click Enable.
  4. Select the desired recording views to be recorded and any Advanced cloud recording settings.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked and must be changed at either the group or account level. Contact your Zoom administrator for assistance.
