Enabling Report to Zoom Follow

 Overview

As part of our in-meeting security features to help you keep your meetings secure, the meeting host can report a participant during a meeting. The host is able to select which participants they would like to report, include any written details, and add attachments. This report is automatically sent to the Zoom Trust and Safety team to evaluate any misuse of the platform and block a user if necessary. 

Note: This feature is enabled by default. If you have disabled it for your account, or would like to disable it for your account, follow the instructions below.

  • Free or paid account.
  • Owner, admin privileges to edit account, group settings.

Enabling or disabling Report to Zoom

If this feature is already enabled, you can click the toggle to disable it.

Account

Enabling this feature at the account level, will be applied to all members of the account. This can be changed by the owner or admins with the privileges to edit account settings. Settings that had been previously changed for groups or users will be kept as is.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that Report to Zoom is enabled.
  4. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. In the Enable "Report to Zoom" pop-up window, click Enable.
  5. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

Enabling this feature at the group level, will be applied to all members of the group. This can be changed by the owner or admins with the privileges to edit group settings. Settings that had been previously changed for groups members will be kept as is.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation panel, click User Management then Group Management.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list, then click the Settings tab.
  4. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that Report to Zoom is enabled.
  5. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. In the Enable "Report to Zoom" pop-up window, click Enable.
  6. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

To enable the report participants feature for your own use:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Settings.
  3. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that Report to Zoom is enabled.
  4. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. In the Enable "Report to Zoom" pop-up window, click Enable.
    Note: If the option is grayed out , it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
