Re-syncing phones and devices

You need to re-sync desk phones to pass settings from the Zoom web portal to desk phones. Re-sync desk phones after making these changes in the web portal:
- Changed desk phone settings
- Changed account-level settings for phones and devices
- Configured call delegation and shared lines
- Changed line keys settings
- Assigned or removed a provision template
- Created a firmware update rule and selected option to restart with the next re-sync or Auto Pulling
Notes:
- You can also re-sync desk phones with the zero touch provisioning server.
- By default, Poly and Yealink devices are configured to receive the new provisioning without restarting the device. However, depending on the setting changes, the device may have to restart.

Prerequisites for re-syncing phones and devices
- Pro, Business, or Education account
- Account owner or admin privileges
- Zoom Phone license
- Zoom Phone devices added and provisioned
How to re-sync all desk phones and common area phones in the account or site
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Phones & Devices.
- Click Resync by Account/Site located in the top-right area.
- In the Target Device drop-down menu, select one of these options:
- Account: Re-sync all phones in the account.
- Site: Re-sync all phones in the site. Use the site drop-down menu to select a site.
- Click Resync.
The desk phones will reboot.
How to re-sync one or a group of desk phones
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Phones & Devices
- On the left of the name of the user phone(s), click the check box(es) to select the device(s).
- On the top left click Resync.
- In the pop-up dialog, click Resync.
The desk phone(s) will reboot.
How to re-sync a common area phone
Note: If you signed up for a new Zoom account after May 21, 2022; or the New Common Area Experience is enabled on your account, common area phones have migrated to the new Common Area tab in the Users & Rooms page. As a result, you must resync the device by finding it in the Phones & Devices page. Alternatively, you can follow these steps to view assign devices for a Common Area.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Users & Rooms.
- Click the Common Area tab.
- Click the display name of the Common Area that contains the desk phone.
- Click the Settings tab.
- In the Desk Phone(s) section, click the display name of the phone you want to re-sync.
- Next to Status, click Resync, then click Yes to confirm.
The desk phone will reboot.
