How to share contact information with the event organizer

You may be asked to share your contact information with the Host when you register for certain Zoom Events events. Zoom Events Hosts will receive your contact information from Zoom Events as soon as you agree to share your information with them. It’s important to know that once the Host receives your information, such information may be used in accordance with the Host’s own separate privacy policy. For example, the Host may directly send your information about the event, future events, and other marketing communications, or share your information with third parties. Ensure that you carefully review the applicable policies of the Host. Host policies may be available on the Host’s event listing or profile page or may be requested by contacting the Host.

If you do not wish to share your contact information with the Host, do not register for the event, or, if available, clear or do not select the I agree that Zoom Events may share my contact information with the event organizer check box. If you have questions about how your information will be used, contact the Host through our contact host services to obtain and review their privacy policy.

How to favorite an event

To save an event to your Favorites list:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click the Hub that has the event you want to favorite.
  3. Find the event you want to favorite, then click the Favorite heart-button.png button on the event card.

To see the list of events you have favorited, click Favorites in the top-right corner.

How to share an event

To share a Zoom Events:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click the Hub that has the event you want to share.
  3. Find and click the event you want to share.
    The event’s details page will appear.
  4. Click the Share share-button.png button in the event's details page.
  5. Choose to share your event through the following options:
    • Email: Click the email icon ✉︎.
      Compose your email, then send to share.
    • Social media: Select which social media icon you want to share the event on: Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
    • Share Event Link: Copy and paste the event link to share.

How to cancel your registration

You can cancel your registration any time within the Host's cancellation policy.

How to contact the Host

To contact the Host through email:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. In the top-right corner, click Tickets.
  3. In the list of your registered events, find the event with the Host you want to contact.
  4. Click View Order.
  5. On the left side, click Contact Host.
  6. Compose your email, then send it to the Host.

How to join a Zoom Events

To join an event, users must log in to the Zoom desktop client using the same email account used at their Zoom Events registration/ticket purchase.

Join a Zoom Events from the Zoom desktop client

To join an event from the Zoom desktop client:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click the Meetings tab.
  3. On the left side, click the Upcoming tab.
  4. Find the Zoom Events that you registered for, then click the upcoming event.
  5. Click Join.
    You can also click View Event to open the event detail page.

Join a Zoom Events from the Zoom mobile app

Notes:

  • Once an Attendee joins a session, it will open in the Zoom mobile app.
  • Attendees need to be signed in to the Zoom mobile app and the web browser on their mobile device.

To join an event from the Zoom mobile app:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
  2. Click the Meetings tab, then find and click the Upcoming Zoom Events that you want to join.
    You can also click View Event or the calendar invite or link to access the event page.
  3. In the web browser sign-in page, sign in to your Zoom account.
  4. Click Join.
    You will be taken to a new page where all started sessions are listed as tiles.
  5. Select a session to join.
    Note: If the event has not started or there are no active sessions, you will receive a message about this.

Join a Zoom Events from the event detail page

To join from the event detail page:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. In the top-right corner, click Tickets.
  3. Click the Upcoming tab. Find the event you want to join, then click View Order.
    You can also click the Orders tab to find the event you want to join. Click the ellipses more-button__1_.png, then View Details.
  4. Click Join Lobby.

How to use Lobby

Lobby is the starting point of a summit or conference event. From the Lobby, Attendees can:

  • Chat with other Attendees in the Lobby.
    Note: To get this feature, Attendees must have the Zoom Chat feature enabled and will need to opt-in to view and participate in the conference chat at registration.
  • If enabled by Event Hosts, watch livestream videos.
  • Explore information about sessions and Speakers.
  • Explore information about Sponsors.
  • Go to EXPO.
  • Report unwelcomed behavior.
  • Receive messaging outlining the reasons why the Lobby is closed.

How to create your own itinerary

Itinerary is your personalized schedule during an event (large events with concurrent sessions). To add a session to your itinerary:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
    All the events that you can register for will be displayed.
    Note: On the left side of the page, click a Hub to see the events available in that Hub only.
  2. Click the event you want to attend.
    The event detail page will appear.
  3. Click Join Lobby.
  4. On the session image, click the bookmark icon.
    You can also click the bookmark icon again to remove it from the itinerary.
  5. Go to Itinerary.
    Bookmarked sessions will appear in the calendar.

How to watch video recordings of past sessions

Event Hosts may record and make recordings available. To watch recordings:

  1. Go to Itinerary.
  2. Click the session you want to watch.
  3. In the session, click the Watch link.

How to follow a Hub

To follow a Hub:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, click Hub.
  3. Find and click the Hub that you want to follow.
  4. In the Hub's public profile page, click Follow.

How to report unwelcomed behavior

If you are in a situation that you want to escalate, you can report it to the event Host team:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Find the event that you want to report, then join the event Lobby.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  4. Click the Report link.
  5. Enter the situation’s details.
  6. Click Submit.
