Changing Device Management account settings

Admins can change Device Management account settings that apply to all devices managed in the account. You can also lock settings on or off to prevent users from changing them. Once settings are applied to the devices, you can view the list of your managed devices for further management.

How to access and change Device Management account settings

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Device Management, then Device List.
  3. Click Account Setting.
  4. Navigate to the setting you want to change.
  5. Click the lock icon  to lock a setting. If you lock a setting, users on your account will not be able to change this setting individually and it will also be locked for all groups.

How to access and change a specific device settings

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Device Management, then Device List.
  3. To the far right of a device name, click Edit.
  4. Select the General tab, and change the following:
    • Hot Desking: Allow hot desking to the device.
    • Device Operation Time for Zoom Phone Appliance: If the device is Zoom Phone Appliance, set the operation time for that device.
    • Automatically update app - Zoom Rooms: If the device is a Zoom Room, set an install date for the app that can be daily or weekly for a time period.
      The device will automatically update and restart for that time range at the device local time if not in use.
    • Automatically Update OS/Firmware - Zoom Rooms: If the device is a Zoom Room, set an install date for the OS/Firmware that can be daily or weekly for a time period.
      The device will automatically update and restart for that time range at the device local time if not in use.
    • Weekly system restart: If the device is a Zoom Phone Appliance, select which day of the week the device will restart.
      The device will restart each week on that day in the early hours' local device time.
    • Assign Tag Description: Assign a tag to the device for easy management.
