Setting notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center Follow

Zoom Events can notify you through email or push notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center about activity related to events and tickets.

You can receive notifications as it pertains to your Hub-related role, or whether you're a Host or Attendee of an event. You can update your notification settings in the Notification Center at any time.

Prerequisites for notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.6.3 or higher
    • macOS: 5.6.3 or higher
  • Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account

How to differentiate notification settings (email or push notifications)

You can receive email and/or push notifications about these types of activities.

Receive Hub-related notifications

You can receive Hub-related notifications when:

  • Publishing/edits to the Hub
  • Adding/removing users from the Hub
  • Hub event notifications

Receive Attendee-related notifications

You can receive Attendee-related notifications when:

  • Remind me to rate events I've attended
  • Event Fundraiser updates
  • Updates about events you've attended
  • Updates about gifted tickets
  • Updates about an event where I am an Alternative Host or Panelist
  • Recordings of events I’ve attended are available
  • Updates about your favorited events
  • It’s 24 hours before one of my events starts as a reminder
  • Invitations to private events and special tickets
  • Updates about events you are registered for
  • Updates and reminders about your active subscriptions
  • Event survey

Receive Host-related notifications

You can receive Host-related notifications when:

  • Tickets for one of my events will sell out soon
  • Active Fundraiser updates
  • Updates about my events
  • An Attendee requests a ticket refund

Receive System Notifications

You can receive System Notifications when:

  • Announcements and updates about Zoom Events

How to manage the Notification Center

The Notification Center displays all the notifications you have received. If you see a red dot in your profile picture, you have a notification related to one of the notification types you are enabled to receive.

View your notifications

To view your notifications:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click your profile picture.
  3. Click Notifications.

The Notification Center will appear and display your notifications.

Manage your notifications

To manage your notifications:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click your profile picture.
  3. Click Notifications.
  4. To the right of the notification, click the ellipses more-button.png to manage your notification:
    • Mark as Read: Changes the notification status of this message to read.
    • Delete this Notification: Removes this notification from the Notification Center.
    • Unsubscribe from this Host: Stop receiving notifications of any kind from this Host.
  5. (Optional) At the top of the page, click Mark All as Read to change the notification status of all messages in the Notification Center to read.
  6. (Optional) At the top of the page, click Delete All Read to delete all read notifications in the Notification Center.

Set your notification options

To select the notification types you want and how you want to receive them:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click your profile picture.
  3. Click Notifications.
  4. Click Settings settings-button.png.
    The Notification Settings window will appear.
  5. Under the Zoom Events and/or Email columns, select the check boxes next to the notification types you want to receive.
  6. (Optional) Deselect the check boxes next to the notification types you don't want to receive anymore.
  7. Click Save.

Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific Host

To unsubscribe from notifications from a specific Hub:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click your profile picture.
  3. Click Notifications.
  4. Under Notifications, click the Attendee tab. 
  5. Find a notification from the Host that you want to unsubscribe from, then click the ellipses more-button.png to the right of the notification.
  6. Click Unsubscribe from this Host.

Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific Host through the unsubscribe link

To unsubscribe from notifications from a specific Host through the unsubscribe link in the notification email:

  1. Sign in to your email account or open your email application.
  2. Open the notification email from Zoom Events.
  3. At the bottom of the email, click the Unsubscribe from [Host's name] link.

Resubscribe to notifications from a specific Host

To resubscribe to notifications from a specific Host:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Click your profile picture.
  3. Click Notifications.
  4. Click Settings settings-button.png.
  5. Under Hosts I've Unsubscribed From, find the name of the Host you want to resubscribe to, then click the icon to the right of the name.
  6. Click Resubscribe to this Host.
    The Host's name will disappear from Hosts I've Unsubscribed From.
  7. Click Save.
