Managing your Zoom Events Host Profile

Last Updated:

Hosts can organize and manage information that will be displayed to attendees on their public host profile page. Hosts can add a profile picture, contact information, host media, and their social network links.

Note: Upon signing in to Zoom Events for the first time, you will be asked to create a Host Profile and a default hub.

Prerequisites for managing your Zoom Events Host Profile

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.7.6 or higher
    • macOS: 5.7.6 or higher
  • Zoom mobile client
    • iOS: 5.7.6 or higher
    • Android: 5.7.6 or higher
  • Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account
  • Stripe or PayPal Business account is required to create paid events
  • Zoom Events license

  • There is a dependency with Windows' Webview package for Windows platform; while version 5.7.6 does support Zoom Events, it may cause a blank lobby experience for hosts.
  • For access to the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features, we strongly recommend hosts to update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop client/mobile application.

How to manage your Host Profile

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. In the top right corner, click your profile picture, then click Go to profile.
The Host Profile page will appear.
  3. On the Host Profile page, view and edit the following settings:
    • Profile Picture: To change your profile picture, click Change to upload a new photo.
Note: Once you upload a Host profile picture, you cannot resize it.
    • Host Name: Enter the name you would like to be shown for your events and profile. By default, the name set on your Zoom profile from the Zoom web portal will be used.
    • Host Description: Enter a description of yourself and the events you host.
Note: There is a 350-character maximum limit for the description.
    • Contact Email: Attendees can use the email address you enter to contact you. Zoom will continue to contact you through the email address associated with your Zoom account.
      • Click Change to change your contact email address.
    • Public Profile URL: Hosts can create a Public Profile URL to direct users to their host profile page. Each Host can have one Public Profile URL.
You can copy the Public Profile URL by clicking the copy icon copy-button.png.
      • Take the time to create your Public Profile URL because it will be permanently linked to your Zoom Events Host Profile. Once you have created your Public Profile URL and saved it to your profile, you will not be able to edit or change your Public Profile URL in any way.
      • Enter 3-20 numbers or letters. No symbols, spaces, or special characters.
    • Host Media: You can upload videos to enhance your host profile and attract more attendees to your events.
Note: The maximum video length is 60 seconds. The maximum video size is 50MB, MP4 files only.
      1. To add a video, click + Add Video.
      2. Select a video to upload from your computer.
      3. Click Open.
Note: Hosts can upload up to 100 videos per every 30 days to their host profile, but only three videos are displayed at a time on the Host Profile page.
    • Social Profile: Add links to your website and social media pages to allow your attendees to connect with you in even more ways. Add URLs for your website, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages.
  4. Click Save to make the previous changes made to your host profile.
