Registering for Zoom Events

Register for all free and paid events before you join. Access to Zoom Events, and whether you are able to register for a free or paid event, is determined by the country you are located in.

Additionally, the registration process you experience will depend on the host's registration requirements and the event type—free/paid and event/conference—that you're registering for. It will also depend on whether you are an internal attendee (if your email address belongs to the same domain as the host) or an external attendee (if your email address does not belong to the same domain as the host).

Prerequisites for registering for Zoom Events

Notes:

  • There is a dependency with Windows' Webview package for Windows platform; while version 5.7.6 does support Zoom Events, it may cause a blank lobby experience for attendees.
  • For attendee access to the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features, we highly encourage attendees to update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop client/mobile application.

How to register for Zoom Events

Register for a free event

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. At the top right of the page, click Hubs.
  3. Click a hub to see the events available in that hub only.
  4. Click the Events tab.
  5. Under All Events, click the Upcoming Events tab.
  6. Find and click the event you want to register for.
  7. Click Register.
    Note: Zoom Events attendees can only register a ticket for themselves.
  8. Complete the registration process for the following scenarios:
    Note: The registration process now depends on the event type that you’re registering for and the event organizer’s registration requirements.

Single-session event/event series

Internal registrants

To register for free single-session events/event series:

  1. Register for a free event.
    A confirmation page will appear.

External registrants

To register for free single-session events/event series:

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
      • Click the + sign to increase the number of tickets. Click the - sign to decrease the number of tickets.
      • Click Continue.
    • Under Email Address, enter your email address.
      If you have multiple tickets, enter the email address(es) of the ticket recipient(s).
    • Select the required check boxes:
      • If the host did not provide a privacy policy: I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and other information provided as part of this registration process is provided to the Host. This Host has not provided a privacy notice. Please reach out to the Host for further information.
      • If the host provided a privacy policy: I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and any other information provided as part of this registration process is subject to the Host’s Privacy Notice.
        • Click the Host’s Privacy Notice link to review the host’s privacy policy.
      • I agree I may be recorded or live-streamed at this event and the event host may use my image, voice, and name for commercial purposes (including for public viewing of the recording or livestream) on the Zoom Events platform.
        Note
        : This check box only applies to events that will be recorded or livestreamed.
    • (Optional) Select the following check boxes that you want:
      • I agree to receive marketing communications from the Event Host.
  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation page will appear.

Conference events

To register for free conference events with no privacy policy and no registration questions:

Internal registrants

  1. Register for a free event.
    A confirmation page will appear.

External registrants

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
    • Select the required check boxes:
      • I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and other information provided as part of this registration process is provided to the Host. This Host has not provided a privacy notice. Please reach out to the Host for further information.
      • I agree I may be recorded or live-streamed at this event and the event host may use my image, voice, and name for commercial purposes (including for public viewing of the recording or livestream) on the Zoom Events platform.
        Note
        : This check box only applies to events that will be recorded or livestreamed.
    • (Optional) Select the following check boxes that you want:
      • I agree to receive marketing communications from the Event Host and its sponsors.
        Note
        : If you select this check box, you will opt in to share your contact information with both the host and sponsor(s). The host may share your contact information with sponsors and others as stated in the host’s privacy policy.
        • Click the sponsors link to view the event’s list of participating sponsors. If a sponsor has provided a privacy policy, you can view it by clicking the available links.
          Note: More sponsors may be added before the start of the event.
  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation page will appear.

To register for a free conference with a privacy policy and no custom registration questions:

Internal registrants

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation page will appear.

External registrants

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
    • Select the required check boxes:
      • I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and any other information provided as part of this registration process is subject to the Host’s Privacy Notice.
        • Click the Host’s Privacy Notice link to review the host’s privacy policy.
      • I agree I may be recorded or live-streamed at this event and the event host may use my image, voice, and name for commercial purposes (including for public viewing of the recording or livestream) on the Zoom Events platform.
        Note
        : This check box only applies to events that will be recorded or livestreamed.
    • (Optional) Select the following check boxes that you want:
      • I agree to receive marketing communications from the Event Host and its sponsors.
        Note
        : If you select this check box, you will opt in to share your contact information with both the host and sponsor(s). The host may share your contact information with sponsors and others as stated in the host’s privacy policy.
        • Click the sponsors link to view the event’s list of participating sponsors. If a sponsor has provided a privacy policy, you can view it by clicking the available links.
          Note: More sponsors may be added before the start of the event.
  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation page will appear.

To register for a free conference that include registration questions, but does not include a privacy policy:

Internal registrants

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information. Click Delete to remove a ticket.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
      If you have multiple tickets, enter the email address(es) of the ticket recipient(s).
    • Under Registration Questions:
      • When required registration questions are asked, you will need to complete answering the registration questions before you can click Confirm Registration.
      • When registration questions are optional, you can choose whether you want to answer them or leave the answer fields blank.
  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation window will appear.

External registrants

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
    • Under Registration Questions:
      • When required registration questions are asked, you will need to complete answering the registration questions before you can click Confirm Registration.
      • When registration questions are optional, you can choose whether you want to answer them or leave the answer fields blank.
    • Select the required check boxes:

  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation page will appear.

To register for free conference events with a privacy policy and custom registration questions:

Internal registrants:

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
    • Under Registration Questions:
      • When required registration questions are asked, you will need to complete answering the registration questions before you can click Confirm Registration.
      • When registration questions are optional, you can choose whether you want to answer them or leave the answer fields blank.
  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation window will appear.

External registrants:

  1. Register for a free event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) By Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
    • Under Registration Questions:
      • When required registration questions are asked, you will need to complete answering the registration questions before you can click Confirm Registration.
      • When registration questions are optional, you can choose whether you want to answer them or leave the answer fields blank.

  3. Click Confirm Registration.
    A confirmation window will appear.

Register for a paid event

Before you can register for a paid event, you must enter your payment method to complete the registration process and sold-to address. The available payment methods you will see depend on what forms of payment the host accepts.

Receive an email reminder for paid event availability

For events that are scheduled at a later date, availability for paid ticket registration will follow the event hub's payment provider requirements. You can view a paid event's registration open date and choose to receive an email reminder to return to the paid event details page to complete registration once it’s available.

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. At the top right of the page, click Hubs.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. Under All Events, click the Upcoming Event tab.
  5. Find and click the paid event you want to register for.
  6. On the paid event details page, view the message: Registration opens on ________ to see when you can register for the event.
    Note: You can only register for this event, starting on the opening date.
  7. Click Set a Reminder
    An email will be sent to you once registration is open.
  8. (Optional) Click Turn off reminder
    You will not receive an email reminder about when registration will be open.

Complete paid registration

To register for a paid event:

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. At the top right of the page, click Hubs.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. Under All Events, click the Upcoming Event tab.
  5. Find and click the paid event you want to register for.
  6. Click Register.
  7. In the Choose Ticket window, add the ticket you want then click Continue.
    Note: Zoom Event attendees can only register a ticket for themselves.
  8. Complete the registration process for the following scenarios:

Single-session event/event series

Internal registrants

To register for paid single-session events/event series:

  1. Register for a paid event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) To the right of Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
      If you have multiple tickets, enter the email address(es) of the ticket recipient(s).
    • Select the required I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and any other information provided as part of this registration process is provided to the Host. This Host has not provided a privacy notice. Please reach out to the Host for further information. check box.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. On the Confirm and Pay window:
    • Billing Address
      • Confirm that the Billing Address is correct.
        Note: Your address will appear only if you have already saved your address to your profile.
      • (Optional) Click Edit if you want to edit the address or want to use a different billing address.
        Note: The address listed under Attendee Payments & Billing will be updated with the edited address.
    • Pay with

If you paid using a payment card, click Confirm and Pay. A confirmation window will appear.

External registrants

To register for paid single-session events/event series:

  1. Register for a paid event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) To the right of Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
      If you have multiple tickets, enter the email address(es) of the ticket recipient(s).
    • Select the required check boxes:
      • I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and any other information provided as part of this registration process is provided to the Host. This Host has not provided a privacy notice. Please reach out to the Host for further information.
      • I agree I may be recorded or live-streamed at this event and the event host may use my image, voice, and name for commercial purposes (including for public viewing of the recording or livestream) on the Zoom Events platform.
        Note: This check box only applies to events that will be recorded or livestreamed.
    • (Optional) Select the following check boxes that you want:
      • I agree to receive marketing communications from the Event Host and its sponsors.
        Note: If you select this check box, you will opt in to share your contact information with both the host and sponsor(s). The host may share your contact information with sponsors and others as stated in the host’s privacy policy. 
        • Click the sponsors link to view the event’s list of participating sponsors. If a sponsor has provided a privacy policy, you can view it by clicking the available links.
          Note: More sponsors may be added before the start of the event.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. On the Confirm and Pay window:
    • Billing Address
      • Confirm that the Billing Address is correct.
        Note: Your address will appear only if you have already saved your address to your profile.
      • (Optional) Click Edit if you want to edit the address or want to use a different billing address.
        Note: The address listed under Attendee Payments & Billing will be updated with the edited address.
    • Pay with
      • If you already have a payment card saved to your profile, select the payment card you want to use then enter the CVC number.
      • If you do not have a payment card saved to your profile or want to use a different card, select New debit or credit card.
    • PayPal: A pop-up window will open; add a new PayPal account or select your saved PayPal account to complete payment.

If you paid using a payment card, click Confirm and Pay. A confirmation window will appear.

Conference events

To register for paid conference events with no privacy policy and no registration questions:

Internal registrants

  1. Register for a paid event.
  2. On the Review Order page:
    • (Optional) To the right of Ticket, click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
    • Under Email Address, view your email address.
    • Select the required I have read and agree to the Event Participant Terms of Use and acknowledge that my contact and any other information provided as part of this registration process is provided to the Host. This Host has not provided a privacy notice. Please reach out to the Host for further information. check box.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. On the Confirm and Pay window:
    • Billing Address
      • Confirm that the Billing Address is correct.
        Note: Your address will appear only if you have already saved your address to your profile.
      • (Optional) Click Edit if you want to edit the address or want to use a different billing address.
        Note: The address listed under Attendee Payments & Billing will be updated with the edited address.

        Note: The address listed under Attendee Payments & Billing will be updated with the edited address.

If you paid using a payment card, click Confirm and Pay. A confirmation window will appear.
