Current Release

July 2022

The July features for LTI Pro are available as of July 25, 2022. This release contains the following enhancements and bug fixes:

New and Enhanced Features

  • Three-legged Authentication approach for Schoology API’s.
  • Calendar integration for LTI 1.3 in Schoology courses and groups.

Resolved issues

  • Minor bug fixes for the LTI PRO breakout room pre-assignment feature.
  • Minor bug fixes for the LTI Pro configuration page.

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • Changing the User Role for the LTI Pro installer from Admin to Member on the Edit User page will cause LTI Pro to stop working due to the application will not have the necessary permissions to function.
  • Importing meetings into LTI Pro that were created in an account that was merged into another account currently does not work.
  • Single meetings within recurring meetings can’t be edited.
  • Calendar events will not be updated if the meeting is updated from Zoom Web.
  • The LTI Pro config page is not translated.
  • Auto Provision with non-email value is not supported by LTI Pro.
  • Guest users(Non-Zoom users) will not be able to see the assignments. Import / disassociate meeting is out of scope for assignment review. The assignment polling feature doesn’t support Poll Library on Zoom web.

June 2022

The June features for LTI Pro are available as of June 27, 2022. This release contains the following enhancements and bug fixes:

New and Enhanced Features

  • Ability to add Zoom Rooms when creating meetings within the LTI and have the meeting appear on the Zoom Room Controller.
  • Display Time-limit reminders for basic users on the LTI schedule meetings page.
  • Configure LTI Auto-provisioning function for different LMS user types.
  • Minor bug fixes for the LTI PRO breakout room pre-assignment
  • Ability to disable cloud recordings within LTI Pro based on the Zoom web recording settings.
  • Support pagination for LTI Names and Role Provisioning Service.

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

New and Enhanced Features

  • Support allowing the host to save video order within the LMS create meeting process.
  • Disable recordings within LTI Pro based on the Zoom web recording settings.
  • Minor bug fixes in the LTI PRO breakout room pre-assignment.
  • Added calendar support in LTI Pro bulk import API for the D2L platform. Before only the owner of the app was able to use the API. Now LTI admins can use the bulk API.
  • Fixed Authentication Exception email icon in Auth Exception modal dialog.

Known Issues

April 2022

These features for the LTI Pro will be available on April 23, 2022. 

New and Enhanced Features

  • Ability to send Zoom’s poll or quiz results back to the LMS grade book.
    Note: Currently, this is only supported for the Canvas platform.
  • The ability to send the submissions and create assignments for LMS.
  • Admin level LTI configuration for enabling polling for instructors.
  • Instructors level control within the LTI tool to turn on/off grade results at a course level.
  • Multi-Tenant LTI 1.3 integration with Blackboard.
  • Support for Zoom LTI tool multi deployment on the platform.
  • Disable meetings using a Personal Meeting ID (PMI) within LTI Pro.
  • Admin level LTI configuration for enabling/disabling creation of meetings using a Personal Meeting ID (PMI) within LTI Pro.
  • User-level warning messages and controls during the creation of meetings using a Personal Meeting ID (PMI).
  • Zoom LTI Pro integration with Schoology LTI 1.3.
  • Support for focus mode when scheduling a meeting within a LMS.
  • Support for up to 100 rooms when creating Breakout Room pre-assignments in LTI Pro.
    Note: The account owner should create a ticket with zoom to enable 100 breakout room limit.
  • Disable recordings within LTI Pro based on the Zoom recording settings.

Known Issues

  • Changing the User Role of the user who installed the LTI Pro app from Admin to Member on the Edit User page will cause LTI Pro to stop working because the application will not have the necessary permissions to function.
  • Importing meetings into LTI Pro that were created in an account that was merged into another account currently does not work.
  • Single meetings within recurring meetings can’t be edited.
  • Calendar events will not be updated if the meeting is updated from the Zoom Web portal.
  • The LTI Pro config page is not translated.
  • Auto Provisioning with non-email values is not supported by LTI Pro.
  • Guest users(Non-Zoom users) will not be able to see the assignments. Imported/disassociated meetings are out of scope for assignment review. The assignment polling feature doesn’t support Poll Libraries.

February 2022

These features for the LTI Pro will be available on March 5, 2022. 

New and enhanced features

  • Ability to add Zoom Rooms when creating meetings within the LTI and have the meeting appear on the ZRC - in Beta. This feature is available only for participating customers.
  • Issue related to Panopto-Zoom integration using the hidden tracking field
  • Support creation of up to 365 recurring meetings in the LTI.
    Note: The account owner should create a ticket with Zoom to increase the meeting recurring limit.

Known issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • Changing User Role of LTI Pro installer from Admin to Member on the Edit User page will cause LTI Pro to stop working because the application will not have the necessary permissions to function.
  • Importing meetings into LTI Pro that were created in an account that was merged into another account currently does not work.

Note: The LTI support for No Meetings License type feature was pulled from the release due to issues with deployment, and will be available in another upcoming release.

November 2021

The November release for LTI Pro is available as of December 13, 2021. This release contains the following enhancements and bug fixes:

New and Enhanced Features

  • Breakout Room Pre-assign Participant Suggestions (LTI 1.3 only)
  • LTI Pro suggests participants based on users in the course in which you launch LTI Pro.
  • LTI Pro uses the Names and Role Provisioning Service to get the list of users from your LMS.
  • Support LTI pro in the Schoology Group calendar.
  • Allow an attribute other than email address for LTI Pro to perform user matches.
  • Use and edit tracking fields in scheduling meetings with LTI Pro.

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • Changing the user role of the LTI Pro installer from Admin to Member causes LTI Pro to stop working due to insufficient permissions.
  • Importing meetings created in an account that was merged into another account into LTI Pro not supported.
  • Single meetings within recurring meetings can’t be edited.
  • Calendar events aren’t updated if the meeting is updated from Zoom Web.
  • The LTI Pro config page is in English only.
  • Auto Provisioning with non-email value is not supported by LTI Pro.

October 2021

This release contains the following enhancements and bug fixes:

New and Enhanced Features

  • Zoom Meetings

    • Multiple courses - You can assign meetings to multiple courses.
    • Importing meetings - You can import existing meetings in one course to another course.
    • Disassociating meetings - You can disassociate a meeting from any course without affecting the meeting list of other courses.
    • Updating meetings - When you edit a meeting in one course, the integration automatically updates the meeting for all associated courses.
    • Deleting meetings - When you delete a meeting in one course the integration automatically deletes it in all courses.
    • Calendar and Conversations - The integration automatically creates Calendar and Conversations for each course.
  • Breakout rooms
    You can pre-assign breakout rooms when scheduling meetings.
    Admins can disable the feature for the account or user. When disabled, the screen does not display the option.
    Note: Group permissions are currently not supported.

  • Authentication exception

    • When scheduling meetings, you can select the Require authentication to join option to require users to be authenticated to join the meeting. The Authentication Exception feature enables you to make a case-by-case decision to allow specific users to join without being authenticated.
    • The feature automatically sends invitation emails to all guests listed under Authentication Exception. The integration verifies their invitation upon joining the meeting; only invited guests can join.
    • When you remove guests from the meeting list, the integration sends a cancellation email to the guest, and revokes their permission to join the meeting.
    • For recurring meetings, the Authentication Exception applies to all occurrences. You can’t set authentication exceptions for individual meetings in the series.
  • API

    • bulkImport - Use this endpoint to you to associate zoom meetings with courses in the LMS.
    • bulkDisassociate - Use this endpoint to remove the association of the meetings to courses in the LMS.
  • Expanded capacity for LTI Pro configuration options:

    • Approved domains may now take up to 1500 characters.
    • Associated domains under third party credentials may take up to 1000 characters.

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • When creating breakout rooms, suggestions for participant emails are not available.
  • Sending individual invitation emails for a saved participant is not available.
  • Changing the user role of the LTI Pro installer from Admin to Member causes LTI Pro to stop working due to insufficient permissions.
  • Importing meetings that were created in an account that was merged into another account into LTI Pro does not work.
  • Single meetings within recurring meetings can’t be edited.
  • Calendar events aren’t updated if the meeting is updated from Zoom Web.
  • The LTI Pro config page is not translated.

May 2021

The May release for LTI Pro is available as of May 30, 2021. This release contains the following enhancements and bug fixes:

New and Enhanced Features

Multiple Language Support:

  • You can now translate LTI Pro to any language supported by Zoom Web.
  • LTI Pro uses the language in the user’s Zoom user account profile.
  • Changing the language in LTI Pro also changes the language in the Zoom user account.
  • If the user does not have a Zoom account, LTI Pro uses the language in their LMS user profile.
  • LTI Pro stores the new language on the browser.
  • LTI Pro uses English as the default language when no language can be determined.

Resolved issues

Assigning a user to a Zoom user group by LTI attribute will match if the config attribute value is a subset of the LTI request’s value.

Example: 

  • Config value of “value1,value2” will not match “value1” from the LTI request.
  • Config value of “value1” will match “value1,value2” from the LTI request.
  • Config value of “value1,value2” will match “value1,value2,value3” from the LTI request.

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • The Breakout Room pre-assign meeting option is not currently supported when scheduling a meeting with LTI Pro. Users have the following workarounds to enable this option:
    • Schedule the meeting in LTI Pro and then log in to the Zoom portal to enable the option for the meeting.
    • Schedule the meeting on the Zoom portal and then import the meeting into a course with LTI Pro.
  • Changing the LTI Pro installer user role from Admin to Member on the Edit User page causes LTI Pro to stop working because the role will not have the necessary permissions.
  • You can’t import meetings into LTI Pro that were created in an account that was merged into another account.
  • You can’t edit single meetings within recurring meetings.
  • Updates to meetings from the Zoom portal aren’t updated in LTI Pro Calendar events.
  • The LTI Pro config page is not translated.

March 2021

This release of the LTI Pro integration contains the following enhancements and bug fixes:

New and Enhanced Features

  • Schoology Calendar Events:
    • Configure Schoology to automatically create course events through the LTI Pro configuration page.
    • Events are created when meetings are created in LTI Pro or imported.
    • Events are deleted when meetings are deleted in LTI Pro, are disassociated in LTI Pro, or are deleted in Zoom Web.
    • Events are updated when meetings are updated in LTI Pro

  • Auto Login to Zoom via LMS IDP:
    • Users are automatically logged in to their Zoom accounts when they are logged into the LMS via SSO and the LMS uses the same IDP for Zoom SSO login.
    • Zoom account must support SSO and is configured to set the user’s email.
    • Auto Login is configured through the LTI Pro configuration page.
    • The user is an SSO user.

Bug Fixes

  • Recordings with audio transcripts do not display audio transcript JSON file from the Cloud Recordings tab.

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • “Breakout Room pre-assign” meeting option is not currently supported. Users have the following work arounds to enable this option:
    • Schedule the meeting with LTI Pro and then enable the selected meeting option on the Zoom website.
    • Schedule the meeting on the Zoom website and then use LTI Pro to import the meeting into a course.
  • Changing the LTI Pro installer User Role from Admin to Member on the Edit User page causes LTI Pro to stop working. The application does have the necessary permissions to continue.
  • Unable to import meetings that were created in merged accounts.
  • Single meetings within recurring meetings are not editable.
  • Changing to a non-English language is currently not supported.
  • Calendar events are not updated if the meeting is updated from Zoom Web.
