Enabling or disabling queue notifications

Last Updated:

You can enable or disable inbound notifications for individual queues you’re a member of. This is also known as opting in or out of a queue.

You can only set this in the desktop client. For example, if you’re a member of the billing and customer service queue, you can disable notifications from the billing status while still receiving notifications from the customer service queue.

Prerequisites for enabling or disabling queue notifications

  • Zoom desktop client for Windows or macOS, 5.9.3 or higher
  • Pro, Business, or Education account
  • Zoom Contact Center license
  • Queue opt-out enabled by admin

How to enable or disable inbound notifications for specific queues

Note: Admins can see if you've enabled or disabled this, and change whether you've to enable or disable inbound notification calls from your queues.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click the Contact Center tab.
  3. In the status drop-down menu located in the top-left corner, click the toggle next to a queue name to enable or disable inbound notifications from that queue.

If enabled by your admin, you will have to select a reason for opting out of the call queue.
