Livestreaming Zoom Events meetings and webinars

As the host of a meeting session, you can manually control if and when you want to start livestreaming your meeting session or webinar session to the event lobby. This is useful if you enter your session before the start time to practice and prepare but do not want to livestream your preparation to the event lobby.
Note: When closed caption translation is enabled, the language displayed in the lobby livestreaming window matches users’ language preferences. Zoom Events supports localization for global users.

Prerequisites for livestreaming meeting to the lobby
- Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
- Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher
- Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account
- Stripe or PayPal Business account is required to create paid events
- Zoom Events license
Note: For access to the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features, we strongly recommend hosts to update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop client/mobile application.
How to livestream sessions to the event lobby
In order to control when you want to start and stop livestreaming to the lobby as a session host, you must be on Zoom client version 5.10.0 or later. If you are on a version older than 5.10.0, livestreaming of the session will automatically start once you join the session, and will stop only when the session ends.
Note: If you are running a Zoom client older than 5.10.0 as a host, alternative host, or speaker, you will be prompted to upgrade to the latest version so that you can gain full control of when you want to start and stop livestreaming to the lobby.
To start livestreaming your meeting or webinar session to the event lobby:
- Sign in to Zoom Events.

Join the meeting session you are a host of before its scheduled start time.
When you join the meeting, the Start Livestream to Zoom Events Lobby pop-up message appears at the top of the window. - Click Start when you want to start livestreaming your session to the event lobby.
- If you click Not Now, you can start livestreaming to the event lobby at a later time:
- In the meeting controls, click More.
- Click Start Livestream to Zoom Events Lobby.
- If you click Not Now, you can start livestreaming to the event lobby at a later time:
Once you have initiated livestreaming to the event lobby, you will receive the following messages:
- Preparing Livestream: Your session is being prepared to livestream to the event lobby.
- Meeting is now streaming live to Zoom Events Lobby: Your session is livestreaming to the event lobby. This message will disappear after 10 seconds.

How to livestream sessions to Workplace from Meta
- Sign in to Zoom Events.
- Join the session you are a host of and will livestream to Workplace by Facebook.

- Join the session you are a host of and will livestream to YouTube.

- Sign in to Zoom Events.
- Join the session you are a host of and will livestream to Twitch.
How to livestream sessions to a custom platform
- Sign in to Zoom Events.
- Join the session you are a host of and will livestream to a custom platform.
Note: Your account must have this feature enabled to use this feature. Contact your account administrator to enable the Custom Livestream Streaming Service for your account if this option is not available.
