Updating your Zoom Events profile information

Updating your profile card to present the most current information about yourself provides other attendees the knowledge they need when reaching out to connect with you, in addition to keeping the connections you've added and/or accepted up to date with your information.

Changing your profile mode from your profile settings will allow you to set the default mode you are in when you join an event. If you are currently in an event when you update your mode from the profile settings, your in-event mode will update to the mode you select in your profile setting.

You have full control over your profile information and you can edit your profile information and change your mode at any time.

Prerequisites for editing your Zoom Events profile information

  • Zoom desktop client:
    • Windows: 5.10.6 or higher
    • macOS: 5.10.6 or higher
  • Zoom mobile client
    • iOS: 5.10.6 or higher
    • Android: 5.10.6 or higher
  • Basic, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account

How to update your Zoom Events profile settings on the desktop client

Access your Zoom Events profile settings on the desktop client

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture.
  3. Click Go to My Profile.
  4. Under your profile picture, click the pencil icon pencil-button.png to the right of your name.
    The profile page will appear.
  5. Enter your information to complete your profile in 3 sections: Start with basic info, Tell more about you, and Show more about you.

Start with basic info tab

  1. Complete the following information:
    • First Name: Enter your first name.
    • Last Name: Enter your last name.
    • (Optional) Preferred Name: Enter your preferred name.
    • (Optional) Select a pronoun: Click the dropdown menu and select your pronoun.
    • Company Name: Enter the name of the company you are affiliated with.
    • Position: Enter your position at the company you are affiliated with.
    • (Optional) Headline: Enter a brief introduction about yourself.
  2. Click Save and edit later to save and edit your profile later, or click Continue to continue editing your profile.

Tell more about you tab

  1. Complete the following information:
    • (Optional) About Me: Write an introduction about yourself.
    • (Optional) Select a country: Click the drop-down menu and select the country you live in.
    • (Optional) Select a state: Click the drop-down menu and select the state you live in.
    • (Optional) City/District: Enter the city or district you live in.
    • (Optional) LinkedIn URL: Enter the link to your LinkedIn profile.
      Note: Only your connections can see this link.
    • (Optional) Twitter URL: Enter the link to your Twitter account.
      Note: Only your connections can see this link.
    • (Optional) Select an industry: Click the drop-down menu and select the industry that you work in.
    • Email Address: Your displayed email address.
      Note: Only your connections can see your email address
      • (Optional) To change your displayed email address, click Change email.
        A pop-up window will appear.
        1. In the pop-up window, enter the new contact email address that will be listed
        2. Click Send Code.
        3. Check the inbox of the new email address you are changing to for the verification code.
          Note: The verification code must be used before the time expires.
        4. In the pop-up window, enter the verification code.
        5. Click Verify.
        6. Click Done.
      • (Optional) Click the eye-off icon to make the link visible to your connections only.
    • (Optional) Phone number: Enter your phone number.
      Note: Only your connections can see your phone number.
    • (Optional) Education: Enter the name of the college you studied and the degree you received.
    • (Optional) Custom domain: Enter your custom domain.
  2. Click Save and edit later to save and edit your profile later, or click Continue to continue editing your profile.

Show more about you tab

    1. (Optional) Click + Add Video to upload a video that introduces yourself.
      1. Find the video file you want to use.
      2. Click Open.
    2. (Optional) Repeat to add up to two more videos.
    3. Click Save and Update to save and update your profile edits.

How to update your Zoom Events profile settings on a web browser

Access your Zoom Events profile settings in the desktop web browser

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture.
  3. Click Go to My Profile.
  4. Under your profile picture, click the pencil icon pencil-button.png to the right of your name.
    The profile page will appear.
  5. Enter your information to complete your profile in 3 sections: Start with basic info, Tell more about you, and Show more about you.

Access your Zoom Events profile settings in the mobile or tablet web browser

  1. Join a conference event lobby you are registered for.
  2. In the top right corner, tap the 3 horizontal bars 3_bars.png.
  3. In the navigation menu, tap My Profile.
  4. Under your profile picture, click the pencil icon pencil-button.png to the right of your name.
    The profile page will appear.
  5. Enter your information to complete your profile in 3 sections: Start with basic info, Tell more about you, and Show more about you.

Start with basic info tab

  1. Complete the following information:
    • First Name: Enter your first name.
    • Last Name: Enter your last name.

  1. Join a conference event lobby you are registered for.

    Your profile card will open.
  4. Under your profile picture, tap pencil-button.png Edit profile.
    Your profile card will open in edit mode.
  5. Tap a field to edit the information:

    • Position: Update your position.
    • Company: Update your company.
    • Headline: Update your tagline.
  6. (Optional) At the top of the profile card, tap Go to my Profile to access your Zoom Events profile settings.
  7. Tap Done.
