Managing the Sponsors tab

The Sponsors tab is where you add information about the sponsors of an event.

Prerequisites for using the Sponsors tab in the event creation flow

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.8.6 or higher
    • macOS: 5.8.6 or higher
  • Zoom mobile client
    • iOS: 5.8.6 or higher
    • Android: 5.8.6 or higher
  • Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account
  • Stripe or PayPal Business account is required to create paid events
  • Zoom Events license

Note: For access to the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features, we strongly recommend hosts to update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop client/mobile application.

How to use the Sponsors tab

Add sponsor

  1. (Optional) At the top of the Sponsors page, click + Add Sponsor to add the information of a sponsor of the event.
  2. Sponsor's Logo: Add the sponsor's logo. A default image will already be in place.
    Notes:
    • Use JPG/JPEG/PNG files only. The recommended image dimensions are 320x238 pixels. The maximum image size is 2MB.
    • Resizing images is possible after image uploads. Event creators can manually resize all uploaded images to fit into the image window as well as search for an image to upload.
      1. Click the existing logo.
      2. Select the logo you want to use.
      3. Click Open.
  3. Sponsor's Name: Enter the name of the sponsor.
  4. Sponsor's Email for Ticket: Enter the sponsor's email. After the event is published, an invitation and sponsor ticket will be sent to this email.
  5. Sponsor Tier: Select the tier of the sponsor; the following features are included with each tier:
    • Platinum: Add up to 5 images, Sponsor Video, Sponsored Sessions, Sponsor Chat, Meet and Chat with Attendees (add sponsor representatives), and Downloadable Material.
    • Gold: Add up to 3 images, Sponsor Video, Sponsor Chat, Meet and Chat with Attendees (add sponsor representatives), and Downloadable Material.
    • Silver: Include Meet and Chat with Attendees (add sponsor representatives).
  6. Sponsor's Images: At least one image is required; available to Platinum and Gold-tiered sponsors only. A default image will already be in place.
    1. Click + Add Cover to add a cover image.
    2. Click + Add Image to add an image; repeat to add more images.
      Notes:
      • Use JPG/JPEG/PNG files only. The recommended image dimensions are 1920x1080 pixels. The maximum image size is 10MB.
      • Resizing images is possible after image uploads. Event creators can manually resize all uploaded images to fit into the image window as well as search for an image to upload.
  7. (Optional) Sponsor Video: Upload the sponsor's video.
    Note: The maximum video length is 60 seconds. The maximum video size is 50MB, MP4 files only.
  8. Description: Provide details about the sponsor.
  9. Sponsored Sessions: Use the dropdown menu to select which session the sponsor is sponsoring; available to Platinum-tiered sponsors only. Sponsors can turn on their video and audio in their sponsored sessions.
  10. Privacy Policy: Provide your privacy policy URL so you may receive contact information from Attendees.
  11. Sponsor Chat: Allows sponsors to chat directly with attendees in the lobby; available to Platinum and Gold-tiered sponsors only. Click the Enable chat in the Lobby toggle to enable or disable it.
    Note: If an account admin has disabled Zoom Chat for the host creating an event, the host will receive a disabled chat notification about their web portal chat settings and the effect it will have on their event.
  12. Meet and Chat with Attendees: Add one or more sponsor representatives to speak during the sponsor's session and to connect with customers for demo requests.
    Note: Sponsor representatives appear in the order that the hosts added them—when creating the event—when viewing the sponsor representatives list in the event creation flow and the Sponsors tab on the event details page. 
    1. Click Add Sponsor Representative to add information about the sponsor representative:
      • + Sponsor Representative's Photo: Add a photo of the speaker.
        Note: Use JPG/JPEG/PNG files only. The recommended image dimensions are 160x160 pixels. The maximum image size is 10MB.
        1. Click + Sponsor Representative's Photo.
        2. Select the photo you want to use.
        3. Click Open.
      • Sponsor Representative's Name: Enter the name of the sponsor representative.
      • Email Address: Enter the sponsor representative's email; after the event is published, an invitation and Sponsor ticket will be sent to this email.
      • (Optional) Title or Position: Enter the title or position the speaker holds.
    2. Click Save.
  13. Downloadable Material: Click Upload to include a PDF for the audience to download. This file will appear on the sponsor's page.
    Note: PDF files are only accepted. The maximum file size is 15 MB, up to 5 files.
  14. Click Open; the file will be uploaded.
  15. Click Save.

  16. (Optional) Repeat these steps to add another sponsor.

Use the rich text editor

You can use the rich text editor to customize the Description. When you click an input field on the rich text editor bar, the input field will display a blue outline to show your selection.

Select an input field

  1. In the Description's rich text editor, select the icon that you want:
    • Bold mceclip1.png
    • Italic mceclip2.png
    • Underline mceclip3.png
    • Text color mceclip0.png
    • Text size mceclip5.png
    • Paragraph mceclip0.png
    • Bulleted list mceclip8.png
    • Numbered list mceclip11.png
    • Increase Indent mceclip6.png
    • Decrease Indent mceclip7.png
  2. Enter your text.

Text color

Note: @, #, and link color cannot be changed.

  1. In the Description's rich text editor, select the text color input icon mceclip0.png.
  2. Under Text Color, select the text color that you want.
  3. Under Background color, select the background color that you want.
  4. To clear all text and background color, click Clear.

Text size

  1. In the Description's rich text editor, select the text size input icon mceclip5.png
  2. Select the text size that you want:
    • Small: 12px
    • Medium: 14px
    • Large: 16px

Paragraph

  1. In the Description's rich text editor, select the paragraph icon mceclip15.png.
  2. Select the following paragraph format that you want:
    • Heading 1 = Bold, 20px
    • Heading 2 = Bold, 16px
    • Heading 3 = Bold, 14px
    • Paragraph = Regular, 14px

Add speakers by CSV

You can also add speakers by uploading a CSV file. When you upload a CSV file that includes speaker information in the Sessions tab, the uploaded speakers will appear in the Speakers tab. When you do not have any speakers added, you will need to manually add speaker information.

Customize tier labels

  1. At the top of the Sponsors page, click Customize Tiers.
  2. To the right of the sponsor tier name you want to edit, click Edit.
  3. Enter the new name of the tier.
  4. Click Save.

The new tier name will be reflected on the event details page, the sponsor tab during live events, and the expo when enabled.

Hide or display sponsorship tier labels

  1. At the top of the Sponsors page, click Customize Tiers.
  2. Click the Sponsor Tier labels are visible to attendees on the pages listed above toggle to enable or disable it.

When the toggle is enabled, the tier label will reflect on the event details page, the lobby Sponsor tab during live events, and the expo non-spatial view (when enabled). When the toggle is disabled, the sponsorship tier labels will be hidden from attendee view on the event details page, event lobby Sponsors tab, and the expo non-spatial view.

Invite sponsors to edit

Note: This option will be available after one or more sponsors have been added.

From the Sponsors tab, you can invite one sponsor or multiple sponsors to edit their sponsor details for your event.

How to edit sponsors

  1. To the right of the sponsor you want to edit, click the ellipses more-button__1_.png, then click Edit sponsor.
  2. Edit the sponsor details.
  3. Click Save Draft or Republish.

How to delete sponsors

  1. To the right of the sponsor you want to edit, click the ellipses more-button__1_.png, then click Delete sponsor.
  2. In the confirmation window, click Delete.

How to edit the Sponsors tab

This table displays the features found under this tab, the different stages of the event cycle, and whether or not the feature is editable at that stage of the event.
