Error: Unable to start cloud recording

Last Updated:

If the cloud recording storage limit is reached, users on the account may see any of the following notifications in the Zoom desktop client or mobile app when they try to record to the cloud:

  • Unable to start cloud recording
  • Cloud recording storage is full
  • Cloud recording is disabled

If your account reaches the limit, then you cannot record any meetings or webinars to the cloud, but you can still record locally to your device if enabled. Learn other ways to manage how much cloud recording storage is used.

Note: If you reach the storage limit during a recording, the recording will continue to the end. Once you’re over the limit, you can’t create any more cloud recordings, but you will have full access to any recordings you’ve already created.
