Frequently asked questions about the Refer-A-Friend program

With Zoom’s Refer-A-Friend program, advocates (referrers) can earn a $20 USD or 400$ MXN Amazon.com gift card for every friend who purchases a Pro Annual subscription through the unique referral link while friends (referees) get a 30% off on their first year of Pro Annual.

Advocates can refer friends or family globally, and friends must make a purchase through the advocate’s unique share link for the advocate to earn a reward.

Notes:

  • Advocates must reside or be a permanent resident of the United States or Mexico to refer a friend and earn a reward.
  • Advocates must have a Zoom Basic or Zoom Pro account that is not associated with a Healthcare, Education, Enterprise, or Government account.

When did the program start and when will it end?

Zoom’s Refer-A-Friend program was launched in July 2022 and will continue to run until otherwise indicated. Zoom may modify, suspend, or terminate the program or any advocate’s (referrer) or friend’s (referee) ability to participate in the program at any time for any reason at its sole discretion.

How do I refer my friend?

Please ensure first that you are eligible to refer a friend by reviewing the advocate (referrer) eligibility (English | Spanish).

Once you are signed in to Zoom, click any of the Refer-A-Friend calls to action throughout the website or directly visit rewards.zoom.us to get your unique referral link and start sharing. You can send a referral email or post your link on social media channels.

How many people can I refer?

You can refer an unlimited number of friends and we encourage you to share with as many as possible. However, in the United States, advocates are eligible to earn up to $500 USD in Amazon.com gift cards per calendar year.

I referred my friend. When will I get my reward or why didn't I get my reward?

Your eligible friend must make a purchase through your unique share link. When the purchase is complete, we will send the rewards within 48 to 72 hours. You will receive an email letting you know the reward is on its way, and then a separate email that contains your Amazon.com gift card.

How do I cancel and/or get a refund on my Pro Annual purchase?

You may cancel your Pro Annual account at any time. Your account will be active through your first year of purchase and canceled a year from your purchase date. Please note that Pro Annual accounts purchased through a Refer-A-Friend program referral link are non-refundable, which was illustrated in the terms and conditions you accepted prior to purchase.

I don’t reside in or am not a permanent resident of the United States or Mexico. Can I refer friends?

At this time, advocates must reside or be a permanent resident of the United States or Mexico. We do not have a set time when the program will be available in additional countries, but we look forward to expanding this program to more countries in the future.

Why can’t Healthcare, Education, Enterprise, or Government accounts refer friends?

Thank you for your interest in the Refer-A-Friend program! We are offering this program to Zoom users with Zoom Basic or Zoom Pro accounts that are not associated with a Healthcare, Education, Enterprise, or Government account but we look forward to continuing to evaluate and expand the program as permissible in the future.
