Configuring the Zoom Calendar Client

Learn how to use Zoom Calendar After connecting your calendar service to Zoom, start accessing, managing, and creating calendar events.

The Zoom Calendar Client allows you to view and manage your calendar directly from the Zoom desktop client, further centralizing all your meeting, phone, chat, whiteboard, and calendar needs in one application. After connecting your existing Google or Microsoft 365 (Exchange) account, you can view and create calendar events through the Zoom client, add a Zoom Meeting and invite details to the event, and invite others. Those eligible can also create a new calendar through the Zoom Calendar Service (Beta) if you would rather not use either of those 3rd-party services.

You can also connect your Google or Microsoft 365 (Exchange) account to view and manage your email through the Zoom client.

Prerequisites for using Zoom Calendar Client

Limitations of the Zoom Calendar Client

  • The Zoom Calendar Client only supports connecting with the Zoom, Google, or Microsoft 365 (Exchange) calendar services.
    • The Zoom mobile app does not currently support connecting to Microsoft 365 (Exchange) calendar services.
  • Initial setup of Zoom Mail and Calendar Services cannot be done through the mobile app, currently only through the desktop client.

How to perform initial Zoom Calendar setup

Zoom Calendar can connect with your existing Google or Microsoft 365 (Exchange) calendar service, or with the Zoom Calendar Service directly.

Connect your Google account with the Zoom Calendar Client

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click the Calendar  tab.
    If you have never configured your Zoom account for email or calendar access, you will be prompted to do so.
  3. Review Zoom’s beta terms and click I Agree to accept the terms and proceed.
  4. Click the Sign in with Google to allow access to your Google account.
    Your Zoom Profile page will open in your default browser and open your Calendar and Contacts Integration permissions.
  5. Change the permissions for the service, ensuring to include both Read and Write permissions for Calendar.
    You can also authorize Zoom read and write permissions for your email, which allows you to access your emails through the Zoom Mail Client.
  6. Select Google as the service you want to connect with.
  7. Click Next
    You will be directed to Google's sign-in page.
  8. Sign in to your Google account and then click Allow to let Zoom access your calendar (and email if chosen).
    After allowing access, you will be redirected back to the Zoom Calendar Client to view your calendar.

Connect your Microsoft 365 (Exchange) account with the Zoom Calendar Client

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click the Calendar  tab.
  3. If you have never configured your Zoom account for email or calendar access, you will be prompted to do so.
  4. Review Zoom’s beta terms and click I Agree to accept the terms and proceed.
  5. Click the Sign in with Microsoft to allow access to your Office 365 account.
    Your Zoom Profile page will open in your default browser and open your Calendar and Contacts Integration permissions.
  6. Change the permissions for the service, ensuring to include both Read and Write permissions for Calendar.
    You can also authorize Zoom read and write permissions for your email, which allows you to access your calendar through the Zoom Mail Client.
  7. Select Office 365 as the service you want to connect with.
  8. Click Next
    You will be directed to the Office 365 sign-in page.
  9. Sign in to your Office 365 account.
  10. Ensure the Authorize with OAuth 2.0 option is checked and then click Allow to let Zoom access your calendar (and email if chosen).
    After allowing access, you will be redirected back to the Zoom Calendar Client to view your calendar.

Connect your Zoom Mail account with the Zoom Calendar Client

Connecting with the Zoom Mail and Calendar Services requires a Zoom One Pro or Standard Pro, Zoom One Business, or Zoom One Enterprise account and these services to be enabled for use by an admin.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click the Calendar  tab.
    If you have never configured your Zoom account for email or calendar access, you will be prompted to do so.
  3. Click Connect Zoom Calendar. 
  4. If you already have a Zoom Mail email address, enter it and click Login. Otherwise, click Create an Account.
  5. Review Zoom’s beta terms and click I Agree to accept the terms and proceed.
  6. Enter your desired Zoom Mail email address and click Create Account.
    If the provided email address is already taken or not allowed, you will be prompted to enter a different email address.
  7. Click the Create Zoom Mail.

The Zoom mobile app currently supports the Zoom and Google calendar services, but does not currently support connecting to Microsoft 365 (Exchange) calendar services. While the Zoom mobile app can view and manage your calendar, the initial setup of Zoom Mail and Calendar Services must be done through the desktop client.

Connect your Google account with the Zoom Calendar Client

  1. Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
  2. Tap the More  tab.
  3. Tap Calendar .
  4. Review the introduction to Zoom Calendar and tap Get Started.
  5. Review Zoom’s beta terms and click I Agree to accept the terms and proceed.
  6. Tap the Sign in with Google to allow access to your Google account.
    Your Zoom Profile page will open in your default browser and open your Calendar and Contacts Integration permissions.
  7. Change the permissions for the service, ensuring to include both Read and Write permissions for Calendar.
    You can also authorize Zoom read and write permissions for your email, which allows you to access your emails through the Zoom Mail Client.
  8. Select Google as the service you want to connect with.
  9. Tap Next
    You will be directed to Google's sign-in page.
