- In your web browser, go to https://on.zoom.us.
- In the top-right corner, click Sign In.
You will be redirected to sign in to your regular Zoom account. Once signed in, you’ll be redirected back to OnZoom. - On the left side of the page, in the What do you want to attend? search bar, enter keywords for the type of event you’re looking for, then press Enter.
- (Optional) In the Filter panel, narrow your search results by date, category, price, and type.
How to register for a free or paid event
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- Click the event you want to register for.
- Click Register.
- (For paid events) In the Choose Ticket window, choose the ticket(s) you want and click Continue.
- On the Review Order page, do the following:
- Enter your email address. If you have multiple tickets, enter the email address of each ticket recipient.
- (Optional) Click Edit Ticket to edit your ticket information.
- Review the information next to each check box, including the Event Participant Terms of Use, and select the required check boxes.
- Click Continue (paid event) or Confirm Registration (free event).
- (For paid events) Enter your payment information, then click Confirm and Pay.
Once the order confirmation page appears, you can sync the event to your calendar.
How to sync an event to your calendar
After registering for a free or paid event, you can sync the event to your calendar.
- From the order confirmation page or your confirmation email, click your preferred calendar service.
- Ensure that you are redirected to your calendar, where you can view the synced OnZoom event.
How to join an event
- Sign in to OnZoom.
Note: You must sign in using the same email address that your ticket is registered with. - In the top-right corner, click Tickets.
- Click the Upcoming tab.
- To the right of the event you want to join, click Join.
Alternatively, you can join an event from your confirmation email or calendar system.
How to cancel a ticket
For free events, you can cancel your ticket any time before the start of the event. For paid events where the host has implemented a cancellation policy, you can cancel your ticket at least 24 hours before the start of the event for a refund.
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- In the top-right corner, click Tickets.
- To the right of the event you want to cancel, click View Order.
- On the left side, click Cancel Order.
A confirmation dialog will appear. - Click Yes, Cancel Order to confirm.
If you synced the event to your calendar, it will be removed from your calendar.
How to become an OnZoom host
Only a Zoom account owner, admin, or Zoom user with approval from their admin can be an OnZoom host. Once you have pre-approval from your account owner or admin, you can complete the application form to become a host.
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- In the top-right corner, click Become a Host.
- Click Become an OnZoom Host to open the application form.
- Read the disclaimer to understand if you qualify to be an OnZoom host. You must have a paid US account and be pre-approved to be a host.
- Select a Main Company Number if needed.
Note: The Main Company Number is the central phone number that callers can dial to route to phone users’ extensions. Skip this step if you're the only phone user in the account. - Answer the questions in the application process.
After submitting an application, you can view the approval status on the same web page, and will be notified about your application status.
After approval, complete the first-time setup, which includes reviewing and accepting Zoom’s Acceptable Use Guidelines, watching introductory videos, and updating your host profile information.
How to configure payment options
If you plan to host paid events, you must link a Stripe or PayPal Business account to your OnZoom host account to accept payments.
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage.
- In the navigation menu, click Payments & Billing.
- Under Payment Method for Selling Tickets, click Create and Link next to Stripe or Paypal.
You will be redirected to either the PayPal or Stripe onboarding process. Follow the steps to link a PayPal account or Stripe account to your OnZoom host account. - When you return to the OnZoom Payments & Billing page, under the Billing Address section, ensure that your billing (sold-to) address is added.
- Click Save.
You will receive an email once your PayPal business or Stripe account is successfully linked to your OnZoom host account.
How to implement a cancellation policy
You can set up refund policies for paid single, drop-in, and series tickets for OnZoom events that you host.
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage.
- In the navigation menu, click Cancellation Policy.
- Choose from the available refund and cancellation options for single, drop-in, and series tickets.
- Click Save.
How to create an event
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- In the top-right corner, click Create.
- Complete the event sections, clicking Back to return to a previous section or Save & Continue to move to the next section:
- Event Card: Enter basic details about the event, specify whether it’s free or paid, set the date and time, and choose if you are creating a one-time event or a series event with different times.
- Event Profile: Add images, video links, about info, contact info, and choose if you are hosting the event to raise funds for a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
- Event Options: Choose the level of privacy for your event and apply settings for joining the event, event security, and recording options.
- Tickets: Add panelists and alternative hosts to your event as needed by reserving tickets for special roles, and select attendee ticket registration settings.
- Click Publish.
A dialog will appear with details to review. - Click Publish.
A dialog will appear to confirm that your event is published, and you will receive a confirmation email. This includes your event link, which you can copy and paste wherever, and you can click View Event Profile to view the event.
How to manage an event
From the OnZoom Manage menu, you can start, edit, view, duplicate, or cancel an event, as well as manage the registration or send a message to registered attendees.
- Sign in to OnZoom.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage.
- In the navigation menu, click My Events.
- Click the Upcoming tab. To the right of the event, click Start to start the event, the pencil icon
to edit the event details, or click the ellipses icon
and choose from the following options:
- View: View the event from the attendee’s perspective.
- Duplicate: Duplicate the event and adjust details.
- Manage Registration: View ticket and registration information, orders, refunds, and comments.
- Send Message to Registrants: Send a one-time event-related message to all registrants before the event starts.
- Cancel: Cancel the event and remove it from the OnZoom directory. For an event series, you have the option to cancel an individual occurrence.
How to view event statistics
In the Event Summary section of your OnZoom host account, you can view stats for your upcoming and past events. This includes tickets sold, gross income, and the approximate average hourly rate you have earned for your events.
